“Mediocre at best...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

First off - reconfirm your reservation, and arrive early. We made ours a day before and the staff has uhm, 'misplaced' our details. Good thing I have asked for the name of the personnel who I have talked to.

Cash payments only. ATM is a good 5 minute walk if you have no cash at hand (right side after exiting the establishment).

Staple dishes are: Steamed Fish, Sweet & Sour Pork, Vegetable w/ garlic, Fried Chicken, Tofu, Fried Wanton, Kikiam, Spring Roll, Hot Salad. Typical Chinese Cuisine.

I would like to say that you get your money's worth but this is not the case; the low-cost buffets I have frequented in Davao and Cebu are leagues better than this. Overall, the place is mediocre at best. Staff is inattentive to guest's need and food is not replenished unless you call the attention of the staff.

“Average food but poor service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

Food was average. My sister liked very much the dumpling. I hope next time they include the name of the food, I had a hard time identifying if there was pork in the food since no waiter was around to serve food. Service was so bad. Slow to refill the food, give drinks or get the plate. i do not suggest that you go to this place. Price is cheap but so is the service.

“Never again”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

Tsk tsk. It was a birthday of one of my staff and we tried to celebrate it here for lunch. If I have read the review of gch_producer first, we will not come here. She said everything I wished to write. Trust me, you will not enjoy dining here. One thing gch_producer missed to say is that there are foods that already smells bad. Could have been a leftover from dinner.

“chaotic and sad!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

not all buffet offerings are worth going... this is what we've learned with this place. admittedly, a lot of us will find the 'eat all you can' offer very enticing considering that the price if very affordable. however, given the rate of around P250/head one will still expect to have a decent meal and service.

last december, my family attended a weekend function in this restaurant. since it's a sunday, there were lots of people and i mean LOTS! it was standing room at the entrance and the reception group does not even know how to handle in query of the guests. we expected that since what we were attending was a function, at least there will be clear reservation or direction as to how and where our area is. lo and behold, they almost lost the name of the reservation! to monitor the headcount, they were asking each guests to sign in a sheet of paper like it's an attendance sheet. after doing that, we asked if we can go to the room and they said we can't because the room is not available till 1pm and it's only 12:15pm. they will only allow people to come in at 12.45pm. for the time being, we can all loiter at the lobby. with everyone standing in that small entrance area, one can imagine how hot it was and how it was causing traffic in the going in and out of other guests. when we got to the second level, it was another lo and behold - there was no function room! it was like a big hall with lots of tables without any partitions.

the food wasn't good either. its your usual chinese fare - nido soup, fried rice that's isn't hot, sweet and sour pork that wasn't tender, chinese pancit with very soggy noodles , fried chicken sliced in small portions, ampalaya with what's suppose to be beef but you can't find it. the dessert offerings - slice fresh fruits and fruit salad. it's a get your own water too! the food servers assigned to man the tables where hard to find and where all over the place. considering they need to man 1-15 tables each, you can't blame them!

moral of the story... not because it says buffet it's good! this restaurant has a great combination of bad food and bad service. if only one was bad, then maybe it will compensate and cover for the other fault. if food isn't too good but the servers are friendly, charming and attentive then customers will like it there.

oh well, there's always a first time... in that paricular restaurant, the last time as well!

“Chinese buffet”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

Tramway is a known moderately-priced buffet restaurant chain. They recently opened a new branch in the Pasay-Manila area just off Roxas Boulevard (near the corner of Vito Cruz or P. Ocampo Ave, across the CCP/Star City area).
The family decided to go on a Friday eating binge. Price per head is P238. Their buffet spread is quite extensive from appetizers/soup/salad to dessert. They even have a noodle station and dimsum. I particularly liked their fried rice, sweet & sour pork, siomai and sushi rolls. Their dessert were nothing to rave about.
They have buffet time slots 6-8pm and 8-10pm. We came at around 7pm.
They also have a huge area for private functions at the sides and at the second floor.
