I have been staying at this hotel for many years. I consider it as "my home away from home", whenever I am in Manila, which is several times per year. The hotel is a bit frustrating though, as it has some great assets, but at the same time, it is apparent, the owners of this property put very little into updating it. I should know, because I stay their frequently. The Positives: The property is a good value for you money and is cheaper than the hotels in Makati. Great location near the airport and very close to the Mall of Asia. Taxi rides to both locations are less than 200 Pesos, as long as you do not get ripped off. ALWAYS make sure the meter is used by the taxi driver. Taxis are always readily available at this property. Staff is always friendly and attentive and I have never had a problem with a reservation. My room has always been there, as promised. Now the bad; the rooms. I have been in enough rooms at this hotel, to compare many of them. They are all tired. The rooms are in desperate need of updating. Many still have tube TV's and worn out furniture & carpet. The bathrooms are the same. Poor plumbing with inconsistent hot water flow (the temperature fluctuates too much) and fixtures that have probably never been changed, since the property was new. Worn out grout with black stains that will never come out. The hotel has some interesting views of the bustle of Manila, but the windows are too dirty to see out of. The noise from the streets can also be annoying, as the hotel is not sound proofed. The property is fine for one or two nights, but I do not recommend it for extended stays.
