With a meeting running till 8pm in Makati and a flight from T3 (opposite side of the road) at 6:30am, I really did not expect much. I chose the hotel just to be able to sleep as long as possible. In the short five hours I was there, they managed to get just about everything that mattered wrong. Check in at 9pm took 45(!) minutes, half of that standing in que. The poor girl at the counter had to argue with husekeeping repeatedly over the phone until I could get a room. The room turned out to be an ice-box, it was impossible to switch aircon off or even change the temperature - lucky I was alone so I could use the blanket from the other bed too. Shuttle bus was leaving at 5:15, so I asked for a wake up call for 5. I was told I need to be down at 5am for the 5:15 bus.. I said I'm grown up, I can decide how much time I need... When was wake-up call, you guessed right, 4:45... Final crowning act was then the shuttle bus with a huge T3 sign on it merrily continued straight at the roundabout to T1... (only a serious yelling session with the driver convinced him to make a turn, otherwise I would have missed my flight (T1 is a good 15 minutes each direction). In short, I think this was the worst place I have stayed at in a long time.
Oh, did I say the TV remote did not work either... (though with the quality of channels available, probably this was a good thing).
