“Spacious Room”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013

We stayed in those hotel last September 2013. I think it's a good hotel for an overnight stay. They don't give discounts for walk in clients. They will ask you to pay the full price. So even if we are in front of them we still need to book a room through Booking coz it's cheaper. Even if you tell them that they are on promotion on their site, they will still tell you to "book it from our site then!". Incroyable! I'm a receptionist too in Paris but we never treat our clients like that.

What I like about are the rooms, they are very spacious. They have huge bed as well. 1900 php is cheap (when you book online) for a night with breakfast included. But their normal price ranges from 2200 - 3000 php. We asked them if we coud check out at 5 pm or 8 pm due to some errands we needed to finish but they were charging us 1500 php. I think that's insane! So we just booked again for another night and payed 1900 php.

The hotel is near SM Mall of Asia (biggest shopping center in Asia).

Their orange juice is fake. It's not french orange juice. berk!

No wifi in the room. But you can use their computer in the lobby.

One of the night receptionist guy plays christian songs at night. I think it's wonderful. :)

Overall, i think it's great for few nights stop over in Manila.

Very disappointed with this hotel. We stopped here twice in 7 days on stop overs in Manila. The first room was dirty, the air conditioner was noisy and had a broken front cover and had no refrigerator. The second time the room as dirty, had a refrigerator but was in such a poor condition and dirty that we didn't use it, Our airport pick up was not there when we arrived and our paperwork for the hotel booking had the wrong phone number on it. After talking to airport staff they contacted the hotel and then it took them 1 hour to finally pick us up. The breakfast was very basic Filipino food with 3 choices and would not be satisfactory for most foreigners. All up the only thing going for it is its location. For what they charge you can get better in the same area.

Room Tip: Don't stop in this hotel even if the price sounds good, you will be dissapointed.

Stayed here with my husband few months ago. I think not all taxi drivers know the place, but they know the address. The location is not that bad, its quiet once you get inside. Staff are good as well, when we arrived they gave us a room with bad aircon, we complained and good enough they transferred us to a newer room near the reception area. Thanks so much for that! Its cheap and clean. Not bad at all. I think they should improve with the breakfast menu and the dining area...

we stayed hopefully only one night at this hotel! The aircon was not cold. We complained and offered us 2 other rooms to move in but same problem. Their aircon were all old, noisy and not maintained, despite what the hotel "expert" told us.
The room was old and not renovated! We pay 2400 php (dec2012) which is expensive for the area!

We got a 30% discount when we stayed there for a night since i got a discount card during my previous visit, the month of September 2012. We find the place just perfect for our stay,
so close to the airport and Mall of Asia since we just want to spend some more last minute shopping for " pasalubong". The hotel staff were accommodating, breakfast were served on time and with choices to suit your taste. I like the place,

A cheap stay, worth the money, nothing fancy, but if you are on a budget, it is fine.
The fridge is old, needs to be plugged in, aircons are noisy and the bedding is hard.
Breakfast is served in a cafe on the premise, but the the portions are served by staff and it is very Filipino.
But the hotel is safe and clean.
You can catch a jeep to the Mall of Asia by crossing the nearby bridge and the Dept of Foreign Affairs is within walking distance if you need to do your passport.
If you know Manila well, then jeeps can take you anywhere, especially Divisoria.
The best find is the markets on Taft Ave (under the railway line) called Baclaran Markets, easy walking distance from the hotel, cheaper than Divisoria! Great at night.
The indoor building near the street markets sells things in bulk (wholesale) or singular to the public, great for Christmas buying or buying for businesses.

Room Tip: Smile to the reception people, you'll get a good room, but be realistic, the hotel is old.

I stayed overnight here. It's not well-known to taxi drivers though so you should tell the driver to go to Hotel Sogo along Harrison St., corner Edsa,Pasay and it is right in front. When I came in the room smelled of cigarettes but other than that it was okay, the beds and toilet were clean. The staff are friendly. I spent a quiet night which was surprising since it was along busy roads. I booked the room online. I suggest that you do too so that you can get a cheaper rate than their published rate of P2,500. I ended up paying P1,700 plus. It includes a decent breakfast. It's near the airport, Mall of Asia and Roxas Blvd. area
