Bacalao a la Vizcaina is a favorite wherever I am. And it used to be good here in Terry's. The dinner last night though was a bit of a disappointment. The consistency was too watery and the tomato was used used sparingly leaving the salted cod alone, swimming in the soup. Having bacalao as a dish is tricky - the broth must be very good otherwise it doesn't seep into the cod itself leaving a feeling that the two ingredients were just mixed and not stewed together.
The rest of the dishes I guess were okay, noting spectacular though anymore. Maybe they changed their chef.
We had the 2006 Ondarre Reserva and it was very good.
