“Good location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2012

Stayed here several times for business on Ayala Avenue, which is a short walk away. Large rooms, quiet location, no award winner but clean and comfortable. Internet connection is average, but that's typical of Manila. Breakfast is very basic. If you just want fruit, perhaps buy it the night before from Rustons supermarket at nearby Greenbelt. The location to Greenbelt is a highlight; you will never starve! I liked the staff and would stay there again on my own if doing biz in Makati, but I wouldn't take my family there as a special treat.

Have stayed here several times for business.

The hotel is all suites with, I believe, quite a few permament residents. Rooms are relatively large and are nicely fitted out - beds very good and is room quiet.

I have only used the restaraunt for the buffet breakfasts, which was reasonably good although choices have been limited to 5 - 6 dishes from the buffet.

Location is fairly close to the major malls and there are numerous restaraunts nearby.

Internet is free and passwaords are provided when you ask during check-in.

I stayed here from 22nd June 2012 until 25th June 2012. We booked a 2 bedroom unit since there are 10 of us. I chose this place after reading people's reviews from various websites and I certainly didn't regret it ! We had an enjoyable stay. We didn't get to explore the surroundings by foot since we had a tight schedule so can't really say if the apartment was really near anything interesting.
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful (one of the staff named Carla offered me to use her computer since I can't print out my documents at the public working station in the lobby), clean, nice & spacious 2 bedroom unit (the unit is well-preserved and doesn't look worn out), kitchenette complete with cooking and dining utensils;fridge;microwave oven;rice cooker;jug kettle;dish washing liquid with sponge;cooking hob, TVs for living room (comes with Hi-Fi and DVD player) & one of the bedroom, spacious bathroom (it has a bathtub and a shower cubicle),has an iron & ironing board, one of the rooms has a separate closet area, has a dining table for 4 person, there's a convenience store across the apartment, there's an internet-connected PC with printer for the patrons to use which is free of charge
Cons: The TV in the living room was a standard colour TV compared to an LCD TV placed in the bedroom, kitchen maybe a bit small but that's not a problem for us, there's no complimentary internet in the unit (you have to pay if you want to use the internet in your room)

All in all, it was worth it ! If I do come back to Manila, I would probably stay here again.
If you are looking for a place that enables you to cook or if you are travelling in a family, consider staying here.

I stayed here for just over two weeks from in May 2012 on business. this was my first trip to the Philippines and i wasn't looking forward to it. I had read that you could be in all kinds of trouble if you visited the Philippines from the UK embassy website. i am pleased to say that everything i read was untrue. of course you have to be careful where ever you go, but Makati was no different than walking around London or New York.. so to the review. the hotel is a great place to stay... the staff are aloway eager to help you in anyway. across the street there is a supermarket where you can get all the essentials. the rooms have a mini kitchen if you are in the basic rooms, which includes a fridge and microwave. the basic rooms are quite spacious. you can see some wear on the paintwork on door edges ect but this shouldnt interfere with your stay in anyway. if you are from the UK dont expect the normal hot breakfast foods..... your not in the UK! They do have a variety of cereal an hot food most mornings includes scrammbled eggs, , various fish dishes (different dishes on different days), rice and various other hot meals. the fish is really good. the greenbelt 1-5 is within 5 minutes walking distance... maximum and what a great shopping center... you can easily spend a whole day lost in there. the complex is made up of 5 shopping centers with a garden in the middle of it all... it is huge. there are a number of excellent restaurants there... i visited the philipino restaurant and the california Pizza one.....wow ! the food there is really cheap and very good... you can get a super sized Mcdonalds in Makati for the £3. if you are thinking of going to Makati then you wont be disappointed with this hotel

We went to the Philippines just recently and stayed in this hotel for 8 nights. It was awesome because there were 8 of us and we stayed in their two-bedroom suite. The suite was massive!
Negative: Only one bedroom had a television (lounge room has a television as well but too small)
Complimentary internet connection was only available for one device at a time so it was quite a hassle with 8 of us in one room.
The room had no view :(
No cabs right in front but you can make the concierge look for one, or you can hail one at the end of the street
Positive: It can comfortably fit 8 people! One of us slept in the lounge but it was quite comfortable
The kitchenette had everything
5-10 minutes walk from Greenbelt/Glorietta
Taxi ride to the mentioned shopping centre = 50pesos which is around about AU$1.25.
Quite safe!
I will gladly stay here another time! Paid a bit over 60,000 pesos for 8 nights but we shared it between 8 people so it was reasonable price for the quality of our stay. :)

I recently stayed at the Somerset Millennium with my best friend for a few days & the hotel was great! It is very near the Greenbelt Mall-literally 2 blocks away. The staff there was very friendly & helpful, especially Eric-very friendly! They gave us recommendations on dinner places & were easy to book transportation to & from the airport through. The room was big, bigger than I expected. I though bed was hard at first, but I got the BEST sleep. Air conditioner worked super - it was so hot while we were there. I thought breakfast was good, eggs, toast & typical philippino food- punsit, rice, adobo, etc. They served omelettes too! They also have the cutest guard dog named Mika! Love it! I would totally stay in this hotel if I ever came back to Manila, it was a great hotel in a great location!

Services of staff is above par, beds are very comfortable (solid and firm), apartments could stand a bit of upgrading. I have been staying at the Millenium since 1998 on an annual basis and have noticed that it does need some sprucing up although they do keep the place clean and maintained. I just wish they have a better breakfast place as well as subcontractor.... it comes with the room but a good breakfast would make the place thrive ... overall in the next 4-5 years some major investment should be considered and placing their breakfast place up in the top floor instead of a depressing mezzanine level... they could charge more and still be worth it. The hotel should improve their internet access

Room Tip: invest in the executive one bedroom suites... space is generous and walls are solid enough not to h...
