“Nice place!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

Was delighted to find this place close to the heart of Makati.

It is a combo of a vegetarian restaurant and a "healthy non-veg" restaurant. It is a stylishly modern place that seems quite popular with Pinoys since the prices are quite good.

There was a good choice of vegetarian dishes and the staff were helpful in pointing out the vegan options (all vegetarian options are apparently lacto/ovo free). This meant that there was also a wide range of vegan desserts, including ice cream - yummy.

“Noisy place, bad service, mediocre food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013

The player is very noisy place, the acoustics is bad, and you can’t hear yourself or your party. The service is bad, the waiters don’t check up on you and many times they are now around and you need to leave your table and go to call them. The food is very mediocre. Not flavoured and a little tasteless. A lot of dishes on the menu are not available (especially on the Desserts Menu).
Overall very disappointing and I would not go back again to eat there although it is not an expensive place. Thank you

“decent vegeterian food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

I only ate here once for take out -- dishes were ok -- a bit greasy. It may be better if you eat it in the restaurant rather than take out.

“A bland and underwhelming experience”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2012

After hearing so many great things about this restaurant, I was thrilled to get a chance to eat at Pipino when they opened a Makati branch. We started with the Wicked Walnut salad which we really enjoyed. Sadly, the enjoyment ended there. It was deeply disappointing to discover how bland and underwhelming the other dishes were. The Tofu satay was just garlic brown rice, fried tofu with a really bland satay sauce... seriously, my 10 year old niece can make a better peanut sauce with a recipe googled from the internet. The Portobello Inasal was slightly better it was supposed to be Inasal? It just seemed like a typical grilled portobello mushroom. And the sides - beet puree with burong mangga, I didn't get how the flavors were supposed to go together. Maybe I'm not gourmet enough to understand, but it was not the enjoyable dining experience I had hoped it would be. And at their price point, I may not come back. And too bad, the interiors were nice and cozy and service seemed to be good.
