“GREAT :)))))”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

Have bought my voucher thru Ensogo for only P588, inclusive of overnight stay in Double Room with their cozy package (includes 12hr A/C, 24 Cable TV and Wifi, Towel and Toiletries) and it was ALL WORTH IT. I think regular price of this whole package is worth P1008.00, so i merely saved P420.00 and that's a big smile for me. :)

Reservation - Check In - Check Out :
After buying the voucher at Ensogo, I didnt book immediately as I and my BF got to decide first when to use it. After 2 months (it is valid from 3 months upon purchase), we have decided to send their reservation office an email and it just took as less than 30 minutes to get their reply and confirmation to our date reservation. Checking in got less than 10 minutes and it was really convenient. Lobby staffs are courageous and approachable. Checking out took less than 5 minutes, we just handed the E-card key and the TV remote to the lobby staff and viola! were officially checked out. - no questions, no room inspections and no guest waiting inconveniently before leaving (just like other hotel did). :))

Location - nice and wise. Located just behind Oxford Suites and St. Giles Hotel, 2 streets away from busy street of makati ave which make it not too congested and noisy even outside the Hotel, which gives you a peaceful sleep especially at dawn.

Food - We actually didn't able to savor their food in the hotel as we are gone a few hours in the nearby mall (glorieta) for a cine date and thus have eaten our dinner there before heading back to the hotel. Though having said that, you wont be able to experience difficulty in finding a good dining experience as the location itself is full of different restaurants to choose from and present just along makati avenue including coffee shops, fine dining of all races, fast food restos, bars, videoke's, supermarket, convenience stores,everything... even a simple Tapsilogan / Carinderia is just a few walks away from the hotel.

Room - Our room is located at 3rd floor. As I noticed, the whole floor itself was very peaceful and quiet as if other rooms have no visitors in it (but is really has, haha! I knew it as I mind to asked one of their staff just because of my curiosity). For our whole stay we did not experience ANY disturbance, even a simple noise coming from other rooms or outside the hotel, nothing. :) Room space is enough, presentable, well lighted, very modern. I like most was the bed- very comfortable especially the warm and cozy feeling the comforter have given even if our A/C was at its coldest temperature point. :)

Bathroom and everything in it - Love it. The way it was simply designed and structured. It was modern. No tub though, have hair blower. Water pressure was great. Very Clean and smelled really nice.

What I really love in this hotel is its "just buy what you need" policy. Their standard room rate is P588 for an overnight stay- and you yourself can control your add-on purchases of everything you need within a very affordable rate. A/C for 12 hours is just P200, P350 for 24hours, 24Hour TV for P130. Toiletries and Towel for P90, wifi for i think P200. For my personal view, this is really a true budget hotel because you can actually control your expenses. If we go back there again with a regular rate, we would just probably be getting the 24hour Cable TV access for some entertainment and the 12 hour A/C that you can manage to use for your 24 hour stay (yes you can! :) ofcourse with the help of their ceiling fan) No need for wifi, simply because we have lots of things to spend our time other than net surfing and the toiletries and towel can be brought from home.

I will definitely go back to this Hotel again, and will surely recommend this to other backpacking friends and travelers.

We took advantage of the P896 BPI Credit Card promo tie-up with Tune Hotels. The room is ideal and comfy for just two people, the bed is just a double sized bed so it's no use trying to squeeze a family of three or four - if that's the case, get another room since the rooms cannot fit an extra bed, that's how small it really is.

Proximity wise, location is great since it's just a few minutes away from malls, cheap local eateries and restos plus it's 30 mins away to the airport, overall I would recommend this hotel for adult travelers not traveling with children who are looking for a budget friendly place with 5-star quality beds. At night, bar girls are around wering skimpy clothes since the hotel's location is within the red light district.

Commute is also not a problem, taxis and other public transport are accessible. Just be sure to come into agreement with your taxi driver to have the meter on before leaving since some would try to trick you into paying their desired exaggerated prices once you've reached your destination.

Room Tip: Ask the receptionist to give you the Makati Ave view side of the hotel, the back side has an ugly vi...

Fantastic budget hotel, very small rooms not a good choice for a couple or a long stay, but the service was great and the bed and bathroom were spot on. It w as a bit close to the nightclub, strip joint, massage girls but there was the bare minimum of touts and took a no well. Supermarket close and the hotel bar was staffed by a great bunch, food and drinks and service fantastic,

This is a new budget hotel in Makati. I decided to give it a try when Ensogo offered a deal few months ago even before the opening of this hotel. For a price of PhP588.00, I was able to have a comfortable overnight stay (w/ full airconditioning, cable TV, wi-fi and toiletry set). The room is small but clean. It also has a hair dryer and and a safety deposit box. There is no telephone inside the room. So I had to go back to the lobby area just to ask the receptionist about the username and password for the wi-fi internet. I was able to use the internet in the evening but was disappointed that I could no longer login using the same credentials when I woke up in the morning.

This hotel is ideal for those travelers who just want to have a clean and decent place to sleep at a very affordable price. There is a sports bar just beside the hotel entrance and nearby food establishments where you can dine.

I checked out of this hotel yesterday. It's rather difficult to figure out what to make of this place. Contrary to some earlier reviews, it is owned by Mr. Tony Fernandez's group, yes of Air Asia fame, therefore, it follows the low-cost format, with EVERYTHING except the bed being an add-on extra charge.

Location-wise, if you know upper Makati, it's right behind the MPT Suites on Kalayaan. If you don't know Makati, just tell the taxi driver to drop you off at the St Giles Hotel, and walk up on Kalayaan for one minute.

To start with, the queen-size bed is great and comfortable, but it occupies 75% of the 14 sq.mt. room.

There is a fold out counter that can be used as a mini desk (fold out because there is no room for anything except the bed). There are two bedside nightstands, one with a (free) large safety box. Curiously, no telephone in the room. So if you need to dial another room or the reception, sorry out of luck.

The bathroom is clean and relatively large. Good lighting, good hot water pressure, and two people can actually fit in the shower stall.

The A/C was good and rather quiet (it has to cool a tiny room anyway), and the ceiling fan was a unique addition.

Didn't use the LCD tv on the wall (add-on extra).

Didn't have breakfast at the adjacent bar, so no opinion on the food.

There is NO mini fridge in the room, so you cannot keep anything cold, and forget about ice. Also, NO kettle in the room, so you can't even make a cup of coffee.

Tune Hotels makes nickle-and-diming into a science, that's how they make money.Things that you never bought separately for a hotel room, you will here. Towels? extra charge....A/C? extra charge....Storage? extra charge! Example: They follow a strict check-in, check-out policy of 11 am and 2pm respectively. Otherwise, you guessed it, you pay extra. Upon checking in at 12:30pm, I asked if I can leave one 21" rolling bag for an hour and a half so I can go have lunch and then come back at 2pm. Leaving a bag at the reception, for even 1 minute, is considered storage, so you pay 60 PHP extra. The amount is nothing, but just to indicate the science of nickle and diming I mentioned.

Also, since you can't keep any food or beverages in the room, the bar/diner downstairs is a money-maker and is really the highlight of the hotel (right at the entrance).

Wifi and air conditioning can be bought in 12 or 24-hour durations.

If you plan to stay for 2-3 days in Makati, it's not a bad option. Just do your calculations when you add up the extras. But I don't see how one can stay for a week or more, in a tiny room with no space to walk around the bed, and with no mini fridge (hello Mr Fernadez, we are in SE Asia, remember?)

Room Tip: All the rooms are the same, the view from the higher floors are good.

I have stayed at Tune Hotels before in Kuching, KK and LCCT and was surprised when I saw this one open up round the corner from P Burgos. Booked it to stay 5 nights at the end of August for a very reasonable price indeed.

Having stayed in 6 other hotels in the P Burgos area, this is a hugely welcome addition. The rooms are clean, comfortable and everything you need for a budget price. The staff are clearly still getting to grips with things, but they were friendly and tried hard. There is a bar next door which is very similar in concept to Howzat and is very good.

I was told that the hotel was part of the Howzat, LA, Rogues, Sav(al)oy managed group but didn't believe it till I was in Rogues and Howzat and saw it clearly advertised on the menu there. (You were right Mr Barry!) Well, anything managed by Jonathon will be a winner and this place is highly recommended for all types of punters, from those there to enjoy r and r in Rogues and the surrounding bars to those looking for a very clean and top value place to stay.

Highly recommended.
