“Good but pricey”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

Great salsa bar... Pico was tasty and fresh. The portions are large, enough for 1.5 to 2. The burritos are huge and very good, chips and cheese tasty, quesadilla ok but nothing special.

“Better than most”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013

I tasted their steak burritos, chili con carne, and their salsa grande. I loved the way they put together the later and so did my family. It was a bit more than we pay for, but it was more tastier than most mex food here in Phil. The best I tasted is still in the USA.!

“If you want to party, come here. If you want a good burrito, go elsewhere.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

I came here looking for real "authentic" Mexican food and heard a lot of good things about this place. Being originally from San Francisco, CA, I know what good Tex Mex should taste like and if anybody tells you this place serves it, they don't know what they're talking about. It's not their fault as it's simply impossible to emulate real Mexican food as it is dependent on a lot of ingredients we don't have in the Philippines.

The cashier seemed very incompetent in taking our order and did not seem like she wanted to be there. Our food took forever and when it finally came, with high hopes, we were let down. Maybe because we heard good things about it that set our expectations too high, but let's just say that it was a little too salty and un-flavorful...if that's possible. Definitely will not be craving a burrito from this place ever again. Not to mention how overpriced it is as well.

While eating, the owner approached us and made us feel very uncomfortable. They didn't realize that we went there to eat, not party. We didn't want to try their margaritas and did not want to be upsold on the overpriced beer. We were forced to give our names which he later looked us up and tried to friend us on facebook. While he was a nice guy and an excellent promoter, we were there simply to eat and not shmooze.

Ambiance, etc was very bright, loud, and filled with party goers. If that's your scene then this place is perfect for you. If you're looking for good Mexican food, I would suggest going elsewhere...

On another note, I'm not sure if this place is a real "restaurant." It seems more like a bar that serves Mexican food. If that's the case, maybe I'm being a little too hard as you can't expect too much from bar food. Again, if you're looking for a place to party though, this seems like an awesome place if you're in your late 30's-mid 40's and love salsa music, etc.

“Nothing Special.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

When the Makati Ave store opened I went with my family as we stayed nearby. We did not eat then as we thought the prices were a bit high and the staff, seemingly new, could not answer our simple questions. The whole experience was a waste of time and we left.

The newer location at Greenbelt on the New World Hotel road side of the mall is in a convenient location for us, not sure for others. So, after passing by it many times we decided to try it again. I should note that each time we have passed this place, they have had few customers if any at all. This may be due to the off mall side road location, the price, the food, or some other reason, not sure.

It is really a simple place, with a limited menu, fast food style ordering. There is really only maybe 5 things on the main menu, in addition to some side dishes and an array of drinks. We eat at Mexicali often so to compare, we felt the price is higher than Mexicali. The burritos we ordered were good, but size wise a bit smaller than what we are used to.

The salsa bar was empty and food stained. It was not appealing and should have been cleaned. We had to ask for them to fill some salsa up, which they did with a limited amount that was soon empty again.

There is nothing special about this place, a bit more expensive than what we are used to and no real reason to go back again. Its not the type of place that begs a repeat visit.

“mexican simple and good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012

Just across from a.venue you will find this mexican grill fairly new and simple tastful design interior. Foods of course all thing mexcian and very simple menu ordering process. I ordered the nachos picked my toppings and boom all set. Located just behind ordering line is a big wall of hot sauces from around the world and you can use anyone you want. My nachos were tossed in a stainless steal kitchen bowl and everything fresh throwen on top with plump jelapano's i also order a marqrutia as was informed its real tequila not knock off brands... apprently they have buy one get one nigths and also salsa dancing lesson on wed nights i belive.. dont miss this venue before starting your night out with friends
