“Excellent alternative to overpriced Makati hotels”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2014

Stayed twice in late July; one night in the regular room and another in the suite. Rooms are large and have balconies. Modern facilities, good gym, attentive staff.
Much cheaper than New World or Dusit Thani and a much more relaxed vibe. Still close enough to Greenbelt 3 etc.
Highly recommended.

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was a wonderful experience. The rooms were beautifully designed, spacious, clean, and had everything you needed. The staff were very helpful in answering any questions we had or concerns. The restaurant is undergoing a renovation, so the breakfast on the first morning was average. However the front desk staff did have great suggestions for alternative options just down the street. Beside the hotel has a wonderful spa and it's walking distance to the Greenbelt shopping area.

Will come back here again for future visits to Makati. :)

Dear Amy S,

Thank you for your recent review. We are happy to know that you have found your recent experience with us pleasurable, taking note of our clean, cozy and well-designed rooms, helpful staff and convenient location. We at The Picasso has always our guests' top of mind to make sure we are able to give the best experiences, knowing that we were able to deliver at this occasion, inspires us to do more.

Such, the ongoing restaurant make-over is one of the recent developments that we undertook to be able to serve our guests better. The area where we sit in, indeed is becoming a gastronomic destination, which we are sure our new restaurant, when it opens, would be a great addition. Really something to look forward to and hoping you get to try on your return.

We look forward to welcoming you in your future travels until then.

Again, thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Me and my friends had a very nice experience at Picasso. This "staycation" is worthless. From the people outside and inside of the building, they are all good and well-trained. We are particular with the cleanliness of the venue and Picasso is way par from our expectations. We definetly visit this place again.

This is a solid hotel in Makati. Rooms are huge (particularly the Barcelona Suite), Staff are superb, always courteous and eager to help. In terms on Bang for the Buck for mid range hotels, this is tough to beat.
However, this hotel is significantly let down by the the namby-pamby restaurant (Brasserie Boheme) on the ground floor which is quite frankly a shocker (very many people have already written about this on Tripadvisor so no need to re-hash it). This seems to have been recognized by management as the restaurant is scheduled for an overhaul from the 25th of July. There are enough alternatives within literally a few seconds away from the hotel (The Wildflower restaurant for Breakfast is uber decent) for this not to be a major issue and is at worst an inconvenience.
I have also just had a situation where my credit card was basically double charged and only got to know after 2 days but that is currently being sorted out by the hotel.
If you have the money, stay at top dollar hotels like the Fairmont. For mid-Upper range hotels like the Picasso, you will not get much better in Makati.

My stay was for business. The property being a convenient location to the office. The staff at the hotel were always friendly and amenable. I was in the larger suite so lots of space. The room is serviced every day. Water is provided as are amenities if your have forgotten anything. Enough storage space in the room as well. The laundry service was excellent. They can organize tours and taxis. I used the gym regularly, not state of the art but ok. The airport service is very reasonably priced at P1000. The restaurant was not so crash hot but they are upgrading this facility and just down the road are many options to eat. Salcedo Market is on the next corner and QI Wellness was great for massages after a long day.

This place is in the center of Makati and is walking distance from some pretty good restaurants. The staff is very professional and the rooms are clean and spacious. There is even a little art gallery in the hotel. I recommend this hotel to everyone!

Dear Bryan M,

Thank you for your recent review of The Picasso. We are elated for the recommendation and mention of our professional service and good room quality, these kind words help our team to continue to be inspired to ensure that we always give the best experiences to our guests.

We are happy to know that you found value in our property's location, especially that the development in area is that it is slowly becoming a gastronomic "mecca" as how we call it, being surrounded by lovely restaurants. Our own restaurant will receive a make-over as well as we close it in the coming weeks for a renovation. So something to look forward to on your future visits.

We look forward to welcoming you again in the future until then.

Nice big room and great location. Nice big bathroom in the studio suites. The food in the restaurant is pretty bad and overpriced. Service is average. Try the "c" Italian resto just 20 meters down the street. Excellent food there

Dear maaacs09,

Thank you for your recent review and for showing appreciation of our rooms and facilities.
We hope that you enjoyed your stay with us.

We are sorry to hear your concern on the restaurant. However, we are pleased to let you know that we are going to have our Food and Beverage Facility renovated in the coming weeks and we re-open with a new partner, with a fresh and exciting menu coming from the renowned and award-winning restaurant chain, the Apartment 1B Group. Definitely something we are all excited about and something you look forward to for your future visits.

Until then, thank you again for your time and looking forward to welcoming you in your future travels.
