4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2014

Stayed here because it was walking distance to my place of work. Overall hotel is a touch above average. The rooms are colourful and refreshing, wifi is free and good. Breakast doesnt have too many choices. Rooms have got a balcony, but the view isnt great from there. Close to an indian hotel named new bombay few bristos a 7 eleven. Rooms have got electric gas incase you want to cook. A small park close by if you want to jog or just relax.

We often visit Manila and decided to try the Picasso since it was within walking distance to the Norwegian embassy which was our target this time. The taxi driver found the hotel without much trouble. Check in was very quick and smooth. We stayed on the 8th floor and the room was very nice and clean. We needed assistance with copy of various documentation and the lobby staff was very kind and helpful indeed. In general there is a high level of service awareness in this hotel.
The breakfast was quite ok although not in same 'grand' style as some of the big hotels.
In the immediate neighbourhood there are several nice bars and restaurants.
You will not be disappointed at this hotel.

Again, we stayed here after less than a month to celebrate my partner's birthday.
Outstanding and courteous service, clean studio and toilets.

The only issue that bugs us is the smell of smoke coming out of the toilet vent. However, we love your service and we'll stay here every time we're in Manila.

Dear Cha16,

Thank you for your continued support and patronage of The Picasso. We are delighted to know that you consider our service as being "outstanding and courteous". Please bear with us while we address this issue with the lingering scent of cigarette smoke. We have even opted to impose heavy fines for smoking in non-smoking rooms. Rest assured that guest satisfaction is our top priority. So, please let me know when you intend to return and I will personally ensure that your next stay is even better than the last.

Sincerely,

I initially booked the Barcelona Suite for a memorable gathering of friends and family. I was actually expecting that we would not fit the whole room because of the pictures I saw on the internet, however, on the day of my booking our room got upgraded to the Picasso Loft. How cool is that? The room was so big and spacious it can house approx. 40 people. We love the style and ambiance of the room and it feels like we were staying in a 5 star condo unit! We had a wonderful and awesome stay there and would recommend this hotel to my friends who are hosting a big party.

Stayed here for a night when transiting Manila. A great find.
Excellent attentive, friendly service and scale of property (boutique) means things that are requested are delivered quickly.
Our room was vast and well appointed. Would definitely stay here again for the price. Conveniently located in the CBD for both Rockwell and Greenbelt - though at the wrong time of day you's be better off walking to both (10mins to Greenbelt / 20 mins to Rockwell).

Room Tip: Top floor suites were quiet.

The staff are extremely approachable and the location is centrally located in Makati, very near malls, business establishments and restaurants. Green Belt is a 15min walk and other fastfood chains are abundant. Do not try to ride a cab during Friday nights as the traffic situation is very bad (along the main roads anyway).

The (Malaga) room is spacious, clean and the sheets are surely new (still with a faint smell of fabric softener). The toilet is spacious and the shower room's size can fit a small bath tub. The hotel is in itself an art gallery, with all the artworks lining up the walls. Too bad my wife & I weren't able to check the gallery. We did not include the breakfast in our reservation since we planned to eat at Salcedo Market (open Saturday mornings).
