“The best place to stay in the Philippines!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2011

Our Melting Pot is a place not to be missed. Set in a hotel complex you get the luxury and styling of a modern hotel, but with hostel prices and fantastic customer service. The guys and girls there bend over backwards to help you. I returned there twice and look forward to going again!

I have very nice recollection of that stay. Especially when it comes to stuff. They are very kind, pleasant and hospitable people who will always provide you with usefull information if you need such. The Hostel itself has very good location. Good standard of rooms and possibilty of using indoor swimmingpool, access to the internet and so delicious breakfasts.

Great value with great people. The weight room was a plus. This will always be my first stop in the philippines. I stayed here so I could visit a relative recuperating from surgery. I also did my own dental work here, much cheaper then US dentist for the same service. The nightlife is good if that's your thing, if not, then it's a good place to get information before going to other parts of the Philippines.

Room Tip: All rooms cleaned everyday and healthy breakfast

Very central place to stay in Manila. Great atmosphere where you can find nice rest, good free breakfast, very convenient Aircon , free internet and access to indoors pool which I enjoyed after a walking, busy tourist day in the city. Plus the best support from the staff.
Dorms a bit small, but very clean. Single room however, large enough.
I enjoyed being there last summer in 2 different occasions. Tried single room first and dorms the 2nd time. Depends on your taste for meeting people or having more privacy, but I enjoyed both and keep a great memory from the staff specially, Ella´s information and free tour around the city and Rolly’s kindness.
Totally recommendable!!

I stayed here for a couple of days before flying out of Manila to Palawan. The staff were very friendly. They went out of their way to offer guests any needed help. They helped me develop a travel itinerary appropriate for my budget. One staff by name Ella even went out of her way to offer me and some other guests free tours in some parts of Manila.

The rooms are also very neat though a bit small. No mosquitoes, no cockroaches or insects, as one will normally experience in some other guest houses or hostels in Manila. Compared to other hostels, the price may be slightly high, but it is worth it. I never regretted.

We stayed here (3 20-something guys on a backpacking trip) for three days in August. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and newly remodeled -- keep in mind you are staying in a very nice apartment building in Manila's business district (and you do get to use the building's indoor pool and gym -- if they are a little bit small, it didn't matter to us. We spent most of our time in the hostel hanging out with the other very cool people staying there and using the complimentary computer with internet access. Did I mention the staff there? Everyone we met working at OMP was extremely friendly, even waiting up for us to get in very late our first night there (they charged us only a half day's rate that night too :), and giving us GOOD advice and recommendations for our trip up north. One of the girls working there even took us out for a day to see the Intramuros. This was really one of the amazing parts of our trip. Obviously I recommend it.

The size of the rooms is just unacceptable. In the Manila heat this place is just barely tolerable. The friendly and helpful hosts do not make. Up for the fact that when this place is full there is barely any room to breathe. Also, the place is not very cheap. For just a bit more one can find a decent hotel in Manila. You could not pay me to be spend another night in OMP. My night there felt like a nit in a hot, stinky 3rd world prison.
