“Artima - Smiles :)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

As a former guest at Artima, I would like to say that all levels of staff were very curtious, kind and pleasent to associate with. As for the cost of the room, you could not get better value for your pesos. Noise may be a concern due to outside activities; but, this should be expected. Should I return to Manila, I will stay there again. Special thanks to the front desk staff and to the supervisor for laundry.

Room Tip: Choose a room furthest from the elevator. The movement of the counter-weight is somewhat disturbing.

In this Hotel all the staffs are well trained. They are all very courteous and very responsible.
They are also very accommodating and made our whole stay a memorable one. The rooms are very clean and well kept. The bed is soft and very relaxing. The comfort room is really tidy. The whole ambiance of the room is really comforting and cozy. We also had a sumptuous meal in a very affordable price. I will definitely come back and stay in Artina when I'm in Manila. :D

(P.S. I'd like to thank MJ, Chino and Jomar for being so attentive all through out the event and for giving an excellent service. Sana lahat ng crew same sa quality ng service na binibigay niyo!)

Cheers!

Located abt 10 mins walk to A.Venue. Room needs upgrading. Water heater and shower heat up slow and water flow is week. Lights in room is dim. Very noisy coz its facing the main road. While staying there for 4 nights, there is no free coffee or tea sachets. Even no kettle!! Air cond leaks flooding the living room and making bathroom very wet.
Service Staff r polite, friendly and courteous.

The Artina was easy to book online with one of their affiliated agents and the rates were actually better. The agent we used appeared to be the hotel, so we thought we were booking directly, to learn later it was a mirror website agent. Getting to the hotel is not that easy, as many taxis do not know where it is located so please make sure you have the map and directions. The hotel is located on a very busy small one way street that is crammed with jeepneys.

Staff are efficient and friendly and this is a big plus for this hotel, except for one major error that truly irritated us. We had met a sales woman that approached us on the street about condos. She only knew our first name as it was only a casual encounter and our hotel in discussion, but we had cordially declined her offers. Later, she was able to come into the hotel after we parted company and get our full name and room number off of the front desk staff. Names of guests and their privacy are supposed to be paramount. The hotel did call us before she came up, but the woman should not have gotten that far if she had no last name or room number, not to mention that we did not want to entertain her. I feel this is a very big problem in the training of the front desk staff. .

We were told by the hotel staff that it is not safe to walk at night in the area. A. Venue, a small mall is a short walk away, where you can find stores, places to eat etc including a Hooters. P. Burgos Street for adult entertainment is also not far. Walking by day to A. Venue area, as noted is not far, but it’s on a small one way street crowded with continual jeepneys. The street is lined with construction workers near the new site and many people sitting outside their doors. Expect staring and having to maneuver your way between the jeepneys and sidewalk sitters. .

Rooms are not modern and are actually “oldish” but satisfactorily cleaned, with a living room and bedroom separated in the Deluxe Superior room. Even though it has a kitchenette as advertised, it’s useless. There are no pots, pans or things to cook with, no stove or cooker, just a microwave

We had no hot water in the room, which was eventually resolved. The hotel does not let guests use the split level Air Conditioner remote control, which means it never turns off or can not be adjusted for cooler or warmer temps unless you call the front lobby to do it. This was a huge hassle.
.
Street side rooms are noisy for sure and if you are a light sleeper, you will not be happy in those rooms, which by the way are the bigger rooms. For some reason at 5am, we were awoken from what sounded like foundation drilling at the nearby construction site. It went on for an hour then stopped.

Breakfast was included and it was actually pretty good, but with limited choices. The smoked fish was my favorite off the Filipino menu.

If you do not mind some of the hassles I presented here, its overall not a bad place to stay when you consider the price of about P2300 per night, coupled with the friendliness of the staff. They do need to be trained a bit more on guest privacy and for that reason and some of the problems we encountered, including being told not to walk at night, we can not rank it as high as it has the potential to be ranked.

Room Tip: Bigger rooms are the most noisy and border the street. Insist that they give you the remote control...

Our wedding was held at Artina's gallery cafe. The place is great for small weddings. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. You would never see them without smiles on their faces whenever you would ask for something. We really got a great deal with their wedding package. So if you know people who's looking for an affordable yet elegant wedding.. Artina Hotel Suite's would be the best choice. The experience is worth more than the price. Wonderful staff, great food, beautiful rooms and excellent service.. :)

Artina Suites Hotel was a wonderful place to stay in Makati. I stayed there for almost 2 weeks, and couldn't ask for a more accommodating place. The hotel employees were always very friendly and very eager to offer help with anything that me and my family needed. There was always somebody available at the desk to help with anything, and I felt that I was very safe staying here.

Also they have a restaurant located conveniently right next to the lobby, which serves delicious filipino-style dishes. I could not ask for a more comfortable hotel. Thank you Artina Suites Hotel!
