“great hotel, staff and location....shame about the noise”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

i love this place, and have stayed here many times.....BUT about 3 weeks ago a festival organisor has set up rock concert/festival multi-stand in the parking area in front of the hotel! despite noise restrictions in Makati the bands play EVERY night until very late....it was 12.20am the other night!
Despite complaints to the hotel they seem unwilling to act with the police or Branagay officials to deal with this....and i have just learned that this "festival" posing as a "car boot sale" will be there until December.
As i said, this is a great hotel...lovely rooms super staff love the location, and its not a problem if you go to bed past midnight and dont mind listening the whole evening to the music!

Room Tip: get a room at the back away from teh concerts and noise...

My family and I had a wonderful bonding time when we stayed here for 4 days, 3 nights. Though this hotel was more than four years old, you can see that the facilities are well maintained. The one bedroom suite we stayed in was very clean with cool aircon, all the utensils for cooking and dining in and a comfortable queen size bed. Their wifi, though requiring one password per user, was very fast. My only complaint was their small bathroom. Everything was spacious--the bedroom, living room, kitchen, dining area--except for the bathroom. I'm not a very big person but I felt that I was squeezed between the wall and the curtain in the shower. I guess the saving grace there was their shower, which immediately got hot and cold depending on how you control it. I have a thing for bathrooms so this is a big deal for me. It was clean though so I guess I could live with it.

They have courteous staff though they were not the type to go out and greet guests. At least they were not rude and if you ask for something, they will answer you nicely.

What we really love about this hotel was their indoor infinity pool. They just had the tiles changed and the pool was very clean. It was big enough for you to do a few laps. My little boy also enjoyed the kiddie pool and didn't want to leave. This is definitely a plus because other bigger hotels had small pools, or it was too shallow or too deep.

There are a lot of food choices around the hotel since it's located in Makati City. The hotel also has free shuttle service going to Ayala Center so you can avail of it if you want even more food choices or if you need to buy something or watch a movie. We liked the barbecue at the night market just outside the hotel. There's also a hypermarket for your groceries.

Overall, I look forward to staying here again with my family sometime this year.

The location of the hotel is very good. I think it is newly furbished, nice rooms and amenities helpful staff.

Following are the highlights-

1. Room- Spacious and good furnishing- TV. Channel choice is very good. Good Bathroom and good choice of toiletries.

2. Hotel Building- Nice Lobby, well maintained, building looks impressive from outside.

3. Food- nice Breakfast option, filling and good service.

4. Location- Eight in the Heart of Manila, at the centre of all hustle bustle. Next of 7/11, opposite supermarket, all eating options, good night life.

Pls do stay there it is much better then other hotels in the surrounding area, which charge the same amount of money, service is good.

3.

We stayed here for four days and three nights.
2 bedroom suite is just okay... not a hotel but more of condo type.
old tv (not LED or LCD) but at least the room is clean with microwave oven, small dining room and kitchen. good location because it is behind A. Venue and near SM Hypermart for grocery.
For public transpo, convenient for taxi only.
For private cars, paid parking available in front of the hotel.
Swimming pools are okay.
Breakfast was so-so.. not much choices

We, family booked two rooms in 2009 using my membership card. At that time, this hotel named as "A.Venue Hotel". The location is good as it is in the middle of Makati, beside the A.Venue Mall and a lot of food restaurants nearby. The rooms are okay, have one queen size bed, flat screen TV, nice kitchen and small receiving room with couch and TV too.

I requested for a Crib, and they gave to us. The breakfast is just okay...not so much food to choose from. I inquired if they can serve the next day "bacons or sausages" western food, but they said, they have a list of food they can only cook so, they can't assure to me.

They have a pool, and well maintained. At that time, we checked-in there is a fashion event in the pool so, we are not able to do night swimming.

But all in all, we had a good stay.

We usually stay around the Greenbelt area, but wanted a change of scenery while still being close to the main shopping area. Best Western Plus Antel Hotel (most taxi drivers know it plainly as Antel Hotel) is behind A.venue Mall along Makati Avenue. It's a few minutes away by car to the Greenbelt/Glorietta area. The hotel also provides a free shuttle service to the area although we haven't had a chance to avail of this service.

We stayed in a studio suite at the Serenity Tower. The room cost slightly more than the hotels we've stayed in at the Greenbelt area, but it was worth it. Most of the 3-star-rated hotels surrounding the Greenbelt area are dated. We'd rather spend a few hundred pesos more for a newer 3- to 4-star hotel.

PROs:
* 7-eleven at the ground floor; Supermarket and mall (mainly restaurants) a few steps away; Bargain shopping at the night market/bazaar at the parking lot in front of the hotel;
* Free in-room wifi;
* Relatively new and clean;
* Good-sized room and bathroom (loved the overhead rain shower and the detachable shower head);
* Kitchenette with cabinets, microwave oven, sink, & refrigerator;
* Bathroom countertop space ok, and ample kitchenette countertop space;
* Comfortable bed and pillows;
* Toiletries (soap, dental kit, shampoo, bath gel, lotion) and 2 bottles of water replenished daily; and
* Helpful staff.

CONs:
* It's not very easy to get a taxi since the hotel is situated about 50 or so meters from the main road. However, one can always ask the hotel staff for assistance. They'll gladly get a taxi for you; and
* We saw some ants in the room and bathroom, but our food products were undisturbed.

If you have any concerns or problems with the room (as we've experienced with our A/C unit), don't hesitate to inform the hotel staff. They'll immediately address the issue. We'd stay here again.

2 bedroom suite, hall so small, old tv and furniture, bad smell in the rooms although hotel fines you 3500peso if they find you smoking anywhere in the premise. hotel staff very arrogant no smiles. Swimming pools are ok, that's all. Spa is ok. Very strict felt like staying at a hostel rather than a customer oriented place. Avoid this hell hole at all cost!!
