“Beautiful location and very relaxed feel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2014

I stumbled on a living social coupon deal for Springside inn while Christmas shopping and took the chance. The Inn is beautiful. All the rooms are quaint and well appointed. We spent the extra 40 bucks for an upgrade to a suite and it was well worth it. The staff was very accommodating. My only complaint is that there was no one around during continental breakfast and subsequently no coffee. Otherwise we were pleased.

Our yearly Christmas present to one another was to stay at the Springside Inn. And, What a delightful gift it was. From the moment We walked in,We felt at home. Met the owner Sean & felt instantly welcome. Chatting up a bit, found out He worked in Buffalo awhile ago. Talking to His friendly staff, We also established a further connection to our hometown. (It's a small world) Room was very spacious to our needs and very nicely done. Had dinner at the Oak & Vine (very good food & drink), In a LOVELY setting. Overall experience was wonderful. Looking forward to going back with friend's to share this hidden treasure. Thank you Lattimore's !! Very nice weekend, we will never forget !! Ken & Sandy

Room Tip: Tour of all rooms.....EXCELLENT !

I spent the Christmas holiday here with my family. First off, the entire place is adorable - especially appealing if you are into historical architecture. There are a lot of nooks and crannies to this place and I had a fun time checking out all the rooms. Second, Sean, the owner, could not be a nicer guy! He is very affable and sweet, overall a very friendly person and exactly the type of person you like to interact with when you go to an inn. I had a drink at the bar with my brother - the bar is well stocked and the bartender was appropriately knowledgeable and chatty. My family and I had dinner here and it was super tasty! The room I shared with my sister had a nice sitting room, spacious bath and a pretty canopied bed. Each bedroom is unique and all of them are charming. SO!! That's the long way of saying that this place is delightful, I loved my stay, and I would absolutely stay here again.

Room Tip: I thought room 31 was the best. Any room that faces the front of the Inn is probably the best - they...

My wife & I were looking for accommodations for the nearby Seneca Falls' 'It's a Wonderful Life' festivities. We [thankfully] stumbled onto the Springside Inn, attached to Oak & Vine. The dinner was part of a package get away deal with a one night stay. I'm pleased to say the accommodations were great, and the dinner even better. The service was outstanding - our waiter Kevin was attentive, knowledgeable, and engaging. The food was excellent - my filet was cooked perfectly with a tasty reduction sauce, and my wife's ribs tender & flavorful. With a gorgeous blanket of snow outside, we enjoyed a table right next to the fireplace. The only room for improvement is the shower in our particular room had a few sporadic shifts in temperature, but with a building of this age I'll take that & the charm any day of the week over a cookie cutter chain style hotel room! Would recommend this as a nice 'off the beaten path' place for a fantastic get away, a delicious dinner & charming atmosphere. -Steve (Rochester, NY)

Room Tip: We liked the view out across the front lawn, with a pond in the middle of the property and Owasco La...

We arrived on a Thursday evening - the sprawling inn has wonderful character - many pictures of events over the many years it has been open - full of charm and ambience. The room was spacious with all the amenities you would expect. Staff was friendly and accommodating. It happened to be 'Gourmet Burger' night in the on-site restaurant and the food did not disappoint - it was fabulous. We stayed on the third floor and did not find the stairs an issue even with 2 mid sized suitcases. We'll be back!

Ate here as part of a group and found the food to be very tasty and plentiful. The food was served family style and each bowl was reviled regularly without asking and was hot.

Waitresses were very friendly and accommodating. Definitely worth the stop.

We had the most enjoyable stay at the Springside Inn. Everyone, from the owners, receptionist and wait staff at the Oak & Vine were very welcoming and accommodating and did everything they could to make us feel pampered. Just what we needed, 3 very busy Moms on a road trip. The Inn, set in beautiful grounds, is very well-appointed with lots of character. The restaurant, the Oak & Vine was very good...we ate there the 2 nights we were in the area. The bar seems to draw a big local crowd, with live entertainment on Wednesdays. Ideal location for a wedding. Thank you Sean & Beth, for a wonderful stay, and will definitely be back. We might even bring our husbands next time!
