My partner and i decided to leave manila because we had enough to see the big city crowds so i browsed around and found this beach, so we took bus with the dodgy people who keep talking tagalog to me cos my asian face gave them clue that im a philippino and we were lost in the middle of nowhere because no one spoke emglish until finally there were a medical student helped us and told us that the bus we were on is the right bus to matabungkay .
The journey was long and we cant do anything but sleeping cos no one speak english unless me and my partner and it seems like all philippinos want to rip us off everytime i ask them about something. So we arrive in the shuttle bus and we went to matabungkay by tricycle for 300 peso or around 9 bucks for 45 mins noisy journey , the sightseeing is awesome , farming everywhere and fresh air . Just the hawkers are very annoying.
We arrived in matabungkay and we stayed at coral beach club, awesome place and very friendly owner . We love it here, the food is alright they dont have chili sauce and the wifi works pretty good. Our bedroom is clean and no smell , it just the tv is too old i suggest replace with newer one .
The beach is pretty actually if there wasn't too mych cottages and semi permanent houses that makes the beach looks dirty and loose its beautifulness as the nature. Hawkers are around to trade what they have, they force us to buy especially to my caucassian partner , its embrassing asian race.
Local people standing around outside the hotel and trade their stuffs, bit forcing and they will keep following you until they find another guest to be harshed, no offence bit this is very shame and annoying. I dont luke that at all . I and partner always followed by them and they asking many questions where i from and am i married to my partner and bla bla , annoying.
The beach is blue and nice, i swam all day and i love it here, cam find the peace here. Far away from manila's crazy crowd and surrounded by hawkers. Overall, i love it here and i would comeback here. But there needs some improvements, the cottages, rubbishes, and hawkers .
