“Quirky and Comfy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012

Stayed for 2 days, 1 night during the Panagbenga Festival. It's in a house whose rooms were converted into guest rooms. What used to be the living room and dining room areas exhibit a hodge podge of quirky art, jewelry, furniture, and books. It looks like a tastefully arranged yard sale/street market. Everything's for sale. The main office/lobby is in what used to be the kitchen. All meals are served in a small restaurant/cafe next door. There's a small menu of international and northern Philippine cuisine. No pool. No gym. Located minutes from all the famous Baguio City landmarks. Another quirky fact: the white house located directly across the street is allegedly haunted ;-)

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing away from the road if you're sensitive to traffic noise. PNKY sits right i...

I lodged in PNKY one night on my way to Sagada/Banaue. The place is really funky. Rooms are large. We booked one that sounded pricey (about US$125) but it would have fitted at least 5 people. We ended up being three, and it was extremely comfortable.
The restaurant is also nice. You can sit outside in one of the numerous tables in the patio. Vegetables are excellent. And they have an amazing strawberry juice. Not the chemical one. A juice made of actual strawberries (if you do not live in the PH you might not share my excitement).
The hotel also has a shop. You can practically buy every item that you see in your room.
Service is friendly. I enjoyed my stay

Baguio is my ultimate comfort place. Whenever I went there PNKY is always the top choice.

This nice Bed & Breakfast place will provide you with the privacy you need. The location is far from the city but not far enough from convenience. Baguio is now crowded and PNKY is one of the few places you'll find peace & stillness.

No honks or buzzes from vehicles. It's not even too crowded as they only offer few rooms where you can find solitude.

I recommend this hotel to couples who need peace & privacy.
Recommended for people who want to enjoy old Baguio ambience.

Not for budget travelers. Far away from session road & gimmick places.

Try the resto. Great food!

We took a chance of buying PNKY bed and breakfast coupon from a local discount website. And we never regret of purchasing it. The "Forest room" where we stayed was huge, comfortable, clean, and serene. In the morning, a sumptuous breakfast is awaiting - Filipino, American or Continental. Drinking a cup of coffee in a unique bed and breakfast cafe during the mid January morning is what i believed makes Baguio City distinct from other Philippine places. I recommend this lodge to anyone planning a trip to Baguio - good location, good service, and good quality!

I booked PNKY in July, way ahead for post-Christmas holidays. The owner graciously let me pay only 50% of the downpayment amount to reserve my 4 day, 3 night stay, which I completed payment a few weeks before we went up to Baguio.

The house has an old feel to it, with 5 rooms (3 upstairs, 2 downstairs). It's like staying in your grandmother's house, with less relatives. We got the biggest room, which has windows on 2 sides, and high ceiling. The room is very clean, receives much natural lighting in the morning, which is good. The bathroom is very big, clean and has hot water. Ask for as many towels are you need, the staff will oblige.

The living room display area is very elegant, with most of the furnishings, paintings, jewellery and other decorations for sale. There is a wood burning fireplace that they light at night to ward off the chill.

The complimentary breakfast gives you a choice of Continental, Filipino, and American. I would have loved to get a free coffee refill, and while the selection and preparations are good, they could probably add more to the Filipino breakfast menu (salted egg, smoked fish/tuyo/dried fish, steamed native vegetable stalks with fish sauce) and strawberries should be part of the fruit platter. While they have other notable meals for lunch or dinner, I would still recommend trying out other restaurants and eateries in the city.

Wifi is strong and uninterrupted in the main house, on nearby areas and the coffee shop. PNKY is a brisk 10 minute walk to SM Baguio. It is a stone's throw away from 50's Diner and an eatery near this which sells a steaming bowl of bulalo (clear beef soup) for only 60 pesos. It is also a leisurely downhill walk to Teachers' Camp and the Botanical Garden. If you get tired of walking, hail a cab or just ride the jeepney that plies that route going to Session Road or to Wright Park/Mines View Park.

I would recommend this for couples who want privacy and families who want to feel like they are still vacationing at home

We decided to stay at this B&B the last minute and had no reservations but when I called them they still had an available room (Baguio Blue Room), upon arrival we were transformed into a botique, homy b&b/gallery. Staffs were really helpful and accomodating making it a point to make the stay relaxing ang worthwhile, ambience of the place was for me unique, the food was somehow good in taste but it really was nicely prepared and add to that accomodating & the helpful staffs. We sure will come back to this nice and cozy hotel in the near future. Kudos to the owners and staffs of PNKY!
