“Nice Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2014

My brother and I went on our annual Manaoag-Baguio trip last January 14 and since this will be a short trip, I needed to look for a hotel where it would be accessible to downtown Baguio. City Center Hotel fits right into my criteria because it is located in Session road. You can't miss it, just look for the red building in front of McDonald's. And since it is located in Session road, you get to visit Burnham Park, Baguio Cathedral, SM and Session Road without needing to take a taxi or sit in traffic.

The place is clean with aircons installed in rooms, even though it isn't really needed because of the cold Baguio climate. I like the bathroom, it's clean. The downside though is that there is no mat for drying your feet once you step out of the shower, and no bidet (or water dipper or tabo as we call it). These are small things though.

For breakfast, I was expecting it to be buffet type since that is what I read from other reviewers who visited the hotel. What we got was plated sets. No problem there since it is a good serving of rice and your choice of Filipino breakfast meats. But, they could offer at least a refill of brewed coffe (Just a suggestion).

Overall, it was a good hotel and will definitely come back again!

Room Tip: Upon checking in we were asked to check out the rooms first. Try to get the rooms that have windows...

Being a frugal traveler, price and location are top of my list. City Center is centrally located, transports everywhere and price is very reasonable; staff very helpful and friendly. Elevator is on the 2nd floor but security guard on the ground is always ready to help customers. Room is clean n big enough; restaurant/coffee shop in the 2nd floor. Over all, this new hotel is a great place to stay and highly recommended.

we are lucky to have the room with the view of the session road. at night, we can even see the hustle and bustle of the night market along harrison road. and if we crave for something to nibble anytime, mcdo is just a few steps away. in fact, i just watched hubby and daughter while they were going to mcdo from our window.

the room (and especially the bathroom) is very clean.tissue, small soap and shampoo are provided but no toothbrush and toothpaste. fine with me since we always bring our own kit.

bath towel, face towel and even bath mat are provided.

they have no cabinet to put our clothes but when we asked for some hangers, attendant gave us some.

breakfast is served at the Beans Talk cafe. it takes about 10 minutes or so before the food reached our table. I especially enjoyed the boneless bangus meal that I ordered that dish for 3 straight morning, hehe.
hubby and mica tried other breakfast every morning, which are also good but i'm loyal to my bangus :-)

what's best is we got the room rate at 30% off. only 1680 per night for a triple room with free breakfast for 3.

and since the location is at the very center, it is very accessible to almost all jeepney terminals. taxis are everywhere. if you are in for a walk, you can easily reach most places by foot.

we will definitely go back.

Room Tip: we got the corner room. (#309)

This new hotel is a revelation to Session Road. It is simply the best hotel in the area. We walked in and was glad to know that they had a promo for November and we took two rooms for a very cheap price of P1400 each and it comes with breakfast for two. This was very much better than the old hotel a few steps away where they charged 300 pesos less. We were even allowed to get the room at 10am since we came from a long ride from Manila and we were also allowed to consume our breakfast upon arrival. Plated breakfast was very delicious (try the Longanissa) and the coffee shop (Beans Talk) was full of people, in-house and non in-house guests. They serve the pastries and snacks and I could say that they pay good attention to the quality of food they serve. Wifi was free. Room was very spacious, with complete amenities and was very, very clean. The whole hotel was actually very tidied up. Location is right smack in the middle of Session Road where you can definitely walk around and choose from the different bars, restaurants and stores. Also, they do not provide bottled water in the room but they do have a water dispenser in the lobby. Being a hotelier myself and a consultant of new properties, this hotel did everything right. I will definitely go back here on January 2013. I hope they have a promo at that time as well.

Room Tip: Get a room ending in "4" or "5". I think it is more spacious than the ones endin...

we stayed here for 3N/4D. We availed the 30% promo for November . Location is great, right at the center of commercial area in session rd. The staff and crew are very warm and welcoming. What we dont like is the service at their Beanstalk cafe. Service is very slow . The presentation of the food is ok but the taste is not great. as the other says, no cabinets to hang your clothes, but overall city center is good place to stay.

It was by accident that my partner and I got the chance to say at this hotel. We were walking along Session Rd. looking for a place to transfer because the first Inn that we got was dusty and my partner has allergies. Then we saw this and just walked in to ask about their rates. Lucky for us they have a promo (until the end of Nov '13) 30% off. We grabbed the available room. We did not regret transferring here. The room was clean, friendly attendants, good location and stable WiFi. I'm sure I'll come back here.
