“So-so”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013

One, we supposedly reserved a room on the ground floor only to find out they booked us on the third. We specifically gave that instruction because of a medical condition that my partner has; he has gout. Two, the breakfast was horrible: two cheap hotdogs or two hams or two small fish. Three, the telephone in our room - room 104 was not working. Four, their electric fans are weak units that hardly give out air. Five, complimentary massage was late. Six, you had to leave the key to the receptionist everytime you'd go out - but that's understandable. Seven, their staff make you wait - towel request, electric fan request - they were never attentive.

The hotel was undergoing renovation work. I was staying in the deluxe room (nonAC). room was spacious enough but bathroom and toilet were a little cramped. Room also wasn't well lit and didn't have a safe. There was only a table fan which was effective enough. If you need housekeeping for the room you need to call reception.
The rooms are divided into AC and non AC rooms, but the weather is cold so don't reall need it. The hotel has a restaurant but ther are good choices of restaurants just down the road. Just a minutes walk from burnham park which is the central landmark of the city. It's a well known establishment with lot of entertainment and restaurant choices close by.

Room Tip: If your travelling alone stay in the standard room. Bus timings are posted at the reception and the...

I booked a room based on a promo rate. I am happy that the reservation staff, Ever, did take time to find me a booking with the requirements I mentioned: with window and a big bed for a couple. Unfortunately, the room was on the 3rd floor along the busy street so it was noisy once you open the windows to let cool air in. There was also an ongoing re-painting of the hotel exterior (right on our very own side) so we could not leave the curtain and window open during work hours. The bed and pillows were comfortable enough but there was just a bed cover---no extra blanket between the bed sheet and the flannel cover. There was also one outlet only inside the room but I do appreciate having wifi.

The staff were really nice and smiling most of the time. They were able to accommodate most of our requests.

The promo rate came with a free massage but you had to go to their massage room. In-room service would cost an additional P100 per head. There was nothing spectacular about it though as the masseuse seemed to be in a hurry to finish the job.

Breakfast was very basic and quantity good enough for a small eater. It has no restaurant but a menu was provided inside the rooms. Orders could be eaten at the breakfast/multi purpose hall or inside the room. My sad experience was that I had to wait for almost an hour to get my dimsum and noodles which were served in foils and plastic containers. I would be late for my trip so I just requested a plastic spoon and fork or chopsticks. It took them some time to provide one because they needed to get it from a restaurant across the block. To make matter worst, I was surprised to get a higher bill than what the menu indicated. The explanation was that the menu provided was not updated with a new price.

Room Tip: If you are claustrophobic, request for rooms with window. But if you want a quieter room, get rooms...

I would like to thank all the staff at the paladin hotel for being so accommodating to us especially the front desk personnel (Ms.Mariel)... We arrived at the hotel as early as 6:00am and they try to look for room for us but unfortunately no vacant at all so we decided to go out first and leave our things to the hotel i was so surprised after an hour they called me and said "ma'am pwede na po kau mag check-in". NIce hotel, nice room (Deluxe Room), Very Accommodating staff and personnel... they always wear smile to you... Good Job Guys! keep it up.

My group and I stayed here for 2 nights. As the hotel knew we were on business trip, they hoisted a welcome tarpaulin for us. It was very warm of them. Place is OK.Some rooms are really small, others are average. WiFi signal never reaches the room. The lobby/mess hall, even so, has poor signal. Crew members were easy to deal with and can beef up your breakfasts easily (ie, they'll give you two sausages instead of only one). Just show interest. Parking can be a problem but its location is great - near the bars and rows of restaurants.

It was disgusting too see your foods on foil and not on plates. We ordered a noodle soup and they put the noodles on a plastic disposable bowl then the soup on a plastic, the ice cream on a plastic bowl also.spring rolls, grilled beef and rice wrapped in foil, buko shake on a plastic cup i did call again to request for plates.

Room Tip: choose a deluxe fan room you don't need an aircon room

i stayed here for two nights. i didn't like the place for numerous reasons. 1.) poor lighting. It's quite dark in the room and some switches are not working. 2) there are unmatched slippers for the guests in the room 3.) it's dark in the bathroom and the shower is not functioning properly 4.) worst case! there are cockroaches in the room 5.) breakfast is dull

on the brighter side: 1.) near SM baguio 2.) Near Bus terminals 3.) there are a lot of taxi cabs outside the hotel 4.) a lot of restos/ fast food nearby 5.) budget friendly

Over all i wouldn't recommend this to my friends and family
