“Lovely hotel, beautiful location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

Stayed for 2 nights prior to Cuzco and Inca trail. Warm, comfortable room, small but well appointed. Shower was a bit of a disappointment, poor flow and lukewarm water. Friendly staff, excellent service. Restaurant of very high standard with friendly, professional staff and quality food. Many thanks to the breakfast chef for approaching my table and asking if I had a request for eggs! Oxygen on offer for those suffering effects of altitude, wifi available at good speed. Would definitely stay here again - worth staying out of town centre for the view and service.

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel, which features a nice location removed from the bustle of the town (but not inaccessible via a short cab ride). The staff was very welcoming and helpful, particularly Jesus and company, who somehow delivered the cell phone that we left in our room all the way to Urubamba. What a lifesaver!

A most agreeable small hotel.Friendly welcoming staff.Bedrooms a decent size,clean and comfortable.Beds satisfactory.Bathrooms spotless.Quiet.
Nice indoor communal area where you can have a drink and,if necessary some oxygen (altitude here is over 3800 metres).
The outdoor dining/communal area is particularly attractive and overlooks the lake.
Firmly recommended.

Room Tip: The rooms at the back have the better views.

Very well located with great views out over the lake. You must make sure you get a room with lake view. Boat trips can be organised to leave from the Hotel's own pier. Presumably everyone does a boat trip but if you have any doubts, do at least go out to the floating Uros islands which are amazing. The room was comfortable. The hotel does not seem designed to deal with very cold weather. NIghts are often freezing in this time of year. Whilst the rooms had electric heaters which coped OK if left on continuously, the dining room was very cold. Dinner and breakfast were reasonable.
If you have time do take the walk up the railway line to see the vintage ship, the Yavari, made in England, shipped in pieces to Peru and carried up to Lake Titicaca by mule and reassembled!

Room Tip: Lake view essential

Very nice place to stay and is located on the water of Lake Titicaca. Wait staff was very polite and professional. Rooms very clean and the food was excellent. Only complaint was Internet (at hotel computers) is very slow and wifi is slower. Would definitely recommend.

Room Tip: Get a room with a balcony.

We stayed 2 nights at the end of our Peru vacation. Property is located outside the city limits which limited our ability to leave. That being said. The rooms were very nice, clean, with comfortable beds & many pillows. During the winter months it gets quite cold in Puno so we had the heater going & under the many covers- WifI in our lower room did not work, it did work in the lobby & restaurant . Dinner was in a very nice and hint for our 2nd night we ordered Pizza from the lobby bar menu (not advertised). Breakfast buffet was very nice & if you need a early departure ask for the breakfast box which we very much apprcicated.

Room Tip: If you need Wifi don't get lower rooms.

Breakfast and dinners here are great. Hotel is clean and comfortable. Easy access to Titicaca tours at the end of the dock. Lounge area is very pleasant for sitting by the fire and making new acquaintances, or reviewing fabulous touring experiences on Lake Titicaca

Room Tip: Room right beside the lobby looks out on main pathway, so does not feel very private.
