“Wonderful place and great people!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2011 via mobile

Edgar, Consuela and Matilda (the dog!) made us feel very welcome. Their place is a little gem is busy puno. Our room was lovely and very clean. The owners did everything to make us feel at home. Edgar picked us up from the bus station when we first arrived and provided us with an early breakfast when we did a day trip of the lake. Wonderful and lovely, couldn't have asked for more!

We stayed in this beautiful casa for only one night a few nights ago. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, as is downstairs area where we were invited to a delicious breakfast. You could not ask for more attentive and lovely hosts - thank you Edgar for looking after us! Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer.

Edgar could not have been more helpful but the rooms - all of them - constantly have a sewerage odour that really needs to be rectified.

The Management of Casa Panqarani regrets when some of our guests is not 100% satisfied with our services and facilities. When a problem is reported we are happy to do our best to solve it.
Lamentably there are things that are out of our reach; for example during the periods of maintenance of the lagoons of oxidation (waste water treatment) and drought of the lake (with pollution problems) the air in the city is impregnated of an intense stench, without having any relation with our water-drainage facilities.
We really sorry the inconvenience that this situation causes to our guests, every comment that you leave to us is a new opportunity to learn and to continue improving.
In the future we will pay more attention to help you out with any inconvenience that could appear. Thank you very much for helping us to solve this case and we hope this won't happen again.

We just stay two night in Casa Panqarani. As the name says it’s a house, not an hotel, ruled by Edgar and Consuelo that make you feel like at home.
It a cosy place, quiet and well decorated. The area outside, with a small garden, and the balcony is a good place for relaxing.
Our room wasn’t very spacious but god enough for two nights.
The breakfast was really nice, with juice, yogurt, milk, tea, coffee, cereals, bread, butter and jam.
We dinner the, and although we are vegetarian, it was no problem. The food was very good, tasteful and with good presentation.
They arranged all the tours for us: Sillustani and Titicaca lake, and also helped us with the bus tickets.
Edgar was very helpful, giving us information about the road block, helping us with the bus ticket to leave Puno, unfortunately one day before we expected, because of the intensity of the strikes.
The internet is free, but not very fast.
Safe.
Clean.
Good value.

We stayed two nights longer than expected due to being blockaded in Puno with strikes. Edgar kept us informed and booked our bus to leave as soon as able. A lovely host, who did his best with limited english. Manuela cooked two lovely meals. The rooms are comfortable but the bathrooms are not flash. A bit smelly and sometimes difficult to get hot water. Good value for money. Wi-fi not working.

The best place we could find! Edgar and Consuelo have much more than a hotel. Casa Panquarani is a magic place where you fell at home... Edgar suggested us a nice trip to the Lago Titikaka and he his kind ways were always present. Consuelo is a queen of the cocina peruana. 2 days in a simple place as Puno were unforgettable. I always say "el mejor lugar del Peru"

Road blockades by indigenous protestors meant we stayed at Casa Panqarani for 5 nights, longer than we expected! It was the perfect place to be as our hosts Edgar and Consuelo treated us as friends.

We ate all our meals there- the Peruvian food was the best we have had. Edgar went beyond the call of duty with helping us to get out of Puno. We felt so safe here despite the disruption in the town by the protestors. The room was cosy and there were plenty of places to sit in the sun and relax.

We are very grateful to Edgar and Consuelo and would not stay anywhere else in Puno.

Thank you! Kathryn and Sam
