The hotel is located not even one block from the main bus terminal and just a few blocks from the town’s center, Plaza Artigas. The area felt safe during the day and in the evening.
The building is older but looked well maintained. All rooms, in the part of building my room was in, had doors and windows opening onto an open, bright, multistory hallway.
My room was basic, a bit sterile, but clean and well kept. Floors were tiled and wall clean and brightly painted. It had two beds, ceiling fan, window with slats, and decent size bathroom with shower. The bed was comfortable. Linen was older but clean.
The staff was very attentive and helpful. Both Wi-Fi and breakfast were included in the room rate. Wi-Fi was good in the common area and as well barely reached my room. Breakfast was very minimalist and below the average breakfasts in hostels or budget hostels in South and Central America. But it was good enough to get you going. The room rate was reasonable.
Overall I found this hotel to be good choice for a couple of nights. It had good strategic location. I can recommend it.
