okay just a quick review, back home after 2 weeks in decameron and would not return.Had higher expectations but went with an open mind.
Big negatives
- no free wifi anywhere ($16.00 us per 24hrs of wifi)not so bad to get away from the bs though
-$ have to pay for safe (think i payed $45 for 2 wks?) $
-No fridge in room! no cans of beer,pop :( (charge for fridge if u request)
-if u bring cdn cash you will get .65 u.s back at the reception. ( bring credit card or debit, or even trav cheques)
-long way from panama city 2-2.5 hrs
-beach is very murky, sand is nice in some spots but streaky black in others.
-woodys close by but unless your a backpacker( which ive done heaps of) you will not be impressed as it is a dive,another newer woodys being built and will be open soon but doesn't look appealing and my personal opinion i dont travel all that way to meet other canadians.
-too many quebecois and people from toronto....nuff said

pros
-hot hot hot in dec,jan but in the evenings dont expect it to cool down much it was 30c at 2am
-panamanian people were amazingly friendly in the city
-many columbians at the resort, no probs nice people in general
-interesting history and sightseeing around panama city.
-not many americans as panama has taken over the canal zone etc.
-beautiful property with amazing trees etc.
-difficult to find people who speak fluent english,why a pro? well learn some of the language and stop expecting the country you visit to learn yours.
ideal way to see panama? rent a taxi driver for the day, cheap and air con is a must

We had a great trip to this hotel. The staff were very helpful even with our lack of spanish, all you have to do is try . We stayed beachfront in building 11. Beautiful views , and close to most everything. As has been said by others there are lots of stairs and hills to climb if you need to get around the whole resort, but if you are in ok shape this should not be a problem. I am a picky eater and found I was able to eat at all the restaurants. the beach was great and the pools also the perfect temp. The shows they had were done in spanish but they did try to speak english to the crowd when interacting aswell as french. Of course there are always a few problems, but nothing that could not be rectified. You would be surprised how being nice instead of yelling and complaining works, and you people know who you are. I have noticed some people complaining about getting drinks or water at restaurants, never had this problem but we did leave a very small tip regularily, so our service was great. The motorized water activities at the marina were reasonable and very safe.All in all we would definately stay here again , and probably over xmas and newyears as we missed the newyears celebration.

Hello Friends. Just came back from this resort and it was our 4th trip to all inclusive in 2012.

We arrived to Panama on Dec 31st with Nolitours from Toronto along with large group of friends.
Transfer to hotel took an about 2 hours. Our bus arrived to Lobby 1 and here is the moment of truth, when you see the lobby you pretty much understand what you dealing with.
All of us got rooms close to the lobby at building 19. Right upon check in we faced issues like:
A/C didn't work, Room was disgusting and dirty and finally 2 towels for family of 4.
Next morning 7:30 i went to talk with Nolitours rep and demanded to fly us back immediately. Unfortunately they fly to Panama City only once a week and i was offered to fly back to Vancouver.
Anyway lady from Nolitours was very helpful and helped to move us to building 41 with newer rooms.
Food: We didn't eat much, because food is really bad, nothing like Mexico or other countries.
Entertainment: we didn't go for shows.
Overall: All of us (44 people) came to one conclusion, we strongly recommend to avoid this resort if you can.
This resort is not up to North American standards and most of travelers are from Central and Latin America.

To my opinion, the best all-inclusive resort in Panama. Love the water activities both ocean and pool. To me, one of the most important thing of any hotel or resort is cleanliness. Cameron was excellent in this regards. Clean rooms, pools, restaurant, ect. In the service they can improve a little with more help, it seams they were running low on help. I think you can have the best time in this resort if you come in a group, may be friend and family. That what I did and had a blast. What I like least about this experience was having to wait like 2 hours to get to our room and while we were there no complimentary drinks, I mean at least a soda would have suffice!
