“A change from the all inclusive.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

We went there for a afternoon visit last September and enjoyed a friendly drink with the locals. Nice cold beer. looking forward to seeing the new premises when we return to Decameron at end of Feb. Hoping to see Monique and Woody this time as we missed them before. Loved all the sports shirts and money pinned up. Nice atmosphere.

“Love it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

I would never miss an opportunity to revisit Woody's Bar. The owners (Woody & Monique, Everett & Judy) are so friendly and welcoming, I felt like I was visiting old friends. These wonderful people are the big attraction to this place, so take a moment to introduce yourself. Bring a Canadian sport's team jersey and a thirst and you won't be dissapointed. You will see many people wearing their all inclusive bracelets, but they come to Woody's to have a beer. The bar recently moved (next door to where it was) and there was some construction material etc as suggested in some other reviews, but that is temporary. I had wonderful food - you must try the spicey German sausage.

“We had lots of fun.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

We booked some excursions through Woody's, we had a guy named Edward, his English wasn't great but he tried real hard and was so nice and helpful we all just loved him. Very prompt and professional and made sure we always had a full cooler of beer and water for our trips. We loved the Canadian feel of the bar and had a great time eating the fried chicken and cold beer.
Cheap smokes and beer and friendly people. Judy worked her butt off the whole time we were there and they have a very good English speaking Panamanian who just started that is very good and hard working too.

“overated food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

It's pretty hard for me to disappointed while on vacation. There is always a first time. Given that this bar was just changing locations I still really wouldn't recommend it for anything other than a relatively cheap pack of smokes ($4) vs resort price ($8). Beers were cold , a passable mohito. My expectations for a calamari dish that had any semblance of flavour was sorrily missed. I do enjoy grease , they got that right. Did not go in the evening, but sounded like it was rocking pretty good. Recommendation is to go for beers while food is overpriced and buyers beware.

“Did not meet expectations”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

We read great reviews on here but we got at Woody's was not what we expected. The entracnce from the beach is very unappealing, with building debris, and garbage visible inside the entrance. The beer is super cold which is great. Service is quick. We ordered the Wings and Poutine - fries were undercooked, and cold there was lots of cheese curds but unfortunately with the fries and cold gravy the curds don't even melt. The wings were awful, extremely small, no meat, and soaked in sauce. Celery was limp. The owners were there talking to people but no one ever asked us howw our meal was. My advice - don't bother.
