“Truly spectacular”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013 for a stay in June 2013

We went here for our honeymoon, we wanted a quiet beach cabin in beautiful surroundings and boy did we get that. Id was peaceful and stunning, we went in low season and pretty much had the beach all to ourselves. We were here for 10 days and there is plenty to do as Michael is like your personal tour guide! We watched the plankton glow in the ocean every night, our highlight was visiting the Zappatilla islands and we did some amazing snorkelling there. I am a photographer so I got plenty of opportunities to capture some amazing shots, I have uploaded my favourite picture of the beach cabin at night. Such a perfect honeymoon. We had 3 days in Boquette also but it had nothing on this place! It was a perfect experience and just what we wanted. Would highly recommend!

“Everything we dreamed of and more”

My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary at the Casa.
I was beyond ecstatic when our boat pulled up to the house.
The privacy of the home... the view.... it was all so perfect.

The house itself is beautiful~ very clean and nicely decorated.

There is a small kitchen for cooking meals and food is kept in coolers on ice.

While we were there, we went kayaking in the ocean, did some snorkeling, and went sailing. We also went on a tour of the jungle with the local native tribe president. It was amazing.

There was always plenty of electricity and warm water for our needs.
Loved taking a shower in the enclosed outdoor shower. It was invigorating.

One of my favorite parts was just sitting on the front porch watching the ocean and the birds and also looking at the stars in the night sky. It was breathtaking.

I think about our vacation at the Casa every single day and dream of going back some day.

“Paradise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013 for a stay in April 2013

This place is paradise. We stayed a total of 3 nights (2 adults and 2 boys 11 and 8) and really enjoyed our stay. The location is amazing on the water just off of a white sand beach. The Casa has everything you need to prepare dinners and enjoy your stay. Michael and Christine are great hosts and will do everything to make your stay enjoyable. Here are some tips/suggestions from our stay:

- The accommodation is somewhat rustic and not for everybody. You are somewhat exposed to the elements. Beware of the birds on the roof making a lot of noise first thing in the morning.
- The Casa was very clean and had everything that you need for your stay.
- We were not huge fans of the toilet that flushed right into the ocean underneath the Casa. I know the sewage all ends up in the ocean, but this was a little too direct especially considering how calm the water is in this area.
- They had a SUP and some pool noodles, loungers etc. for you to use in the water. Kids enjoyed having these items to use.
- You need to stop at a grocery store before your boat transfer to the Casa to pick up food and beverages for your stay. They will provide a large cooler with ice blocks to keep your food cold.
- If you enjoy seafood, there is a flag on the beach that you can raise. This tells the fishermen to come buy after they make their catch so you can buy fresh seafood. When we arrived we bought 5 live rock lobsters for dinner that night. They only charged us $10 for all 5.
- You can do a tour of the indigenous community at Salt Creek (only a 5 minute walk from the Casa). There are different trails where you can take a guided tour. We found this quite interesting and saw lots of wildlife. Bring lots of bug spray for these tours
- The community has a store to buy a limited amount of supplies or food. We bought some fresh baked bread and some eggs which were both very good.
- One night we walked up the beach to Au Natural resort which is about a 30 minute walk away. We arranged to have dinner that night which was amazing. They even gave us a ride by boat back to the Casa as it was very late by the time we left (they kept our wine glasses full all night). Martine who manages the resort is amazing and very friendly.
- Michael will take you on his boat for excursions anywhere you want to go. We found the prices a little higher than in Bocas, but he ended up being a personal tour guide and would take you wherever you wanted to go. Ended up being well worth the money.
- They have just built a beach bar that was to open in the next couple of weeks.

Overall we had a great experience and enjoyed a nice escape from reality.

“Exceeded our Expectations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013 for a stay in March 2013

My now wife chose this as our destination to get married. Located on a great beach, walk as far as you want, and you'll see less than a dozen other structures. Great swim-able water all around for the included SUP board. This property, as the name implies, is a piece of Paradise mixed with a bit of Indigenous culture and life. The casa has the feel of solitude while being near enough to the wonderful service of the property managers Michael and Christine. They can arrange anything you want or need. For us, they provided a wedding that was beyond anything we could have imagined. We weren't expecting anything more than the three of us on the beach. Instead, we were treated to decorations of fresh jungle sourced flowers delivered by several members of the local Indigenous tribe who joined us in our ceremony and celebration. Incredible, beautiful, meaningful and memorable are just a few words to describe what we were treated to. All facets of our time spent there are positive. Myself, my wife, and our teenage (14) son stayed four nights and five days. My advise, stay longer. Whether wanting to explore or relax, you will not be disappointed A month would not be too long to stay. The idea is you bring what you need to be primarily self sufficient, although there are other options.(which we did not explore} Local fisherman come by in their dugout canoes and sell their fresh fish. Expect to pay less than $2 a pound for the freshest fish possible. All of your perishables are kept on block ice in large coolers. We found this entire experience to be just what we were looking for--the best bang for our limited bucks. We would do it all again.

“Paradise Found!”

My partner and I had an amazing and relaxing 7 night stay at the Casa. The island is paradise. We caught a couple nice fish, kayaked to Zapatillas, and spent hours snorkeling the reef just off shore. There are some great hikes to do from the salt creek visitor's centre. We did the Cayman trail with Alfredo and saw sloths, red frogs, night monkeys. The rain-forest is lush and beautiful. We did dinner at al Natural on our last night and I'd definitely recommend it! The Casa itself is beautiful and has everything you'll need. The managers Michael and Christine are great. They were very welcoming and helped us out with everything we needed. I'd love to go back, and it was a week I will never forget.

“Very peaceful and tranquil”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013 for a stay in January 2013

My husband and I came here for 3 nights for our honeymoon. My husband was a little worried that he'd be bored, but with the excursions available, we had a blast. We did the kayak trip and saw 6 sloths and then we went to Red Frog Beach and snorkeling, both of which were awesome. The managers were really nice. We walked to Al Natural for a dinner which was amazing and definitely recommended. The Casa itself was awesome and so beautiful. I originally thought it'd be a little more remote (there were 6 houses on the shore), but out on the water you feel alone anyway. One night we saw so much bio-luminescence, which took our breath away.

The only complaint or recommendation I have is the 2 uncomfortable double beds. Due to the heat and size of the beds, we slept on separate beds, which wasn't ideal for our honeymoon. I'd recommend getting one nice king-size bed since the Casa looks like a popular honeymoon spot. Maybe a futon if more beds are needed.

“Amazing getaway!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2012 for a stay in July 2012

We booked Casa Paradisio for our honeymoon and had an amazing time! It is 'off the beaten path' but it is so worth it. We spent 5 days at Casa and did not want to leave! The hosts, Michael and Christine, were incredibly helpful. They were flexible with our late arrival, provided a few toiletries that we forgot and overall were focused on making sure we had as much fun as possible. Michael captained several excursions, all of which were amazing---the Zapatillas islands is an absolute must (Red Frog is cool too but Zapatillas is more remote and pristine). You will mostly cook for yourself however the Al Natural resort is a 20 minute walk down the beach and their dinners were amazing (they even provided boat transport back to Casa at end of night if you ask). Overall, an amazing, unforgettable trip!!!!
