“Good Night's Sleep, Convenient Location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

First a small word of caution - prices for the hotel do go up during Eid and if you are planning to stay in Nizwa during Eid then book early as all of the accomodation in and around town fills up extremely quickly and you may be stuck with nowhere to stay.

The hotel is a little on the pricey side for what you get but is nonetheless very pleasant. Some of the rooms have great views of the mountains behind the hotel and the location is perfect for getting out and exploring the souks, night market and for day trips to Jebel Shams, Misfat and Al Hamra. The rooms were clean, with effective air-con and nice hot showers. There are mini bars and satellite television in most of the rooms and the beds are large and comfortable in double rooms.

There are two great swimming pools which are lit up very quaintly at night with different coloured lights in the surrounding vines and the food in the restaurants is reasonable - though I would recommend going and eating in the centre of Nizwa for a more authentic, atmospheric and more delicious experience (there is a great kebab/barbecue place directly overlooking the night martket).

All in all, this is a very convenient and comfortable hotel but nothing really to get too excited about. It is definitely one of the better hotels in town and definitely charges a little too much as a consequence. Nothing wrong with it other than the price but nothing really to stick in the memory.

The location is ok, just outside Nizwa, but the hotel is outdated. Poor paintjob on the doors, bathroom veryvery outdated and not very clean and a sofa where you donot want to sit on, bedlindn with holes........stil two graet pools, good food for decent prices and friendly staff make up for the shortcomings. Anyway for a short stay of 1 or 2 nights, nu problem...

I have stayed at this hotel 4 times now and each time it has been a pleasant and comfortable stay.
Falaj Daris Hotel is located just about 4Kms away from Nizwa town. The hotel is situated 150 kilometers from Seeb International airport. The hotel has recently undergone a complete renovation and refurbishment and now has 55 international standard rooms including 2 suites and a bar.
The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and the staff very friendly. You can eat in their restaurant or visit one of the many cafe's nearer to town. The communal areas are kept very clean and tidy and the two pools are a welcome sanctury after touring round the country.
My last stay here was in May 12 in room 27 costing 40 OMR
To give you some idea of costs:
1.Fresh orange juice - 2 OMR
2. Coke - 1.05 OMR
3. Club sandwich - 5 OMR
4. Steak sandwich - 5.7 OMR
5. Carlsberg beer - 1.9 OMR
When we were there in May we pretty much had the place to ourselves and would not hesitate recommend it to anyone and will certainly be back.

love the atmosphere here. All the rooms are large and comfy facing the pools. The highlight was the resturant. They have good a new chef and the food out of the kitchen is awesome. Lots of trees and plants all around makes it feel like a resort rather than a hotel. Will love to come back.

This hotel is conveniently located to the centre of Nizwa. We have stayed here many times ( due to lack of better hotels closeby), it remains an average hotel with very basic rooms and the beds are not very comfortable. The diner in the evening is OK, the breakfast is poor.
The staff is friendly and helpful

Have stayed twice at this hotel. It is tranquil with good rooms, lovely pool and very friendly and helpful staff. It has a local feel & is comfortable for women traveling alone and for families too. Good quality of food. Have stayed in 3 other Nizwa hotels in recent years and this is the best.

Two large pools and reasonably comfortable rooms made this hotel a perfect stop at the end of a long drive. Though the hotel was full, they found us two adjoining rooms with an inter-connecting door. Also, when we arrived mid-afternoon, hot and tired, the pool was almost empty. After a quick swim we headed to see the fort - a must-see, especially the view from the top - and the market. Both of these are a few minutes drive away.
We would have eaten out but there is not much choic in central Nizwa, so we stayed at the hotel. Their restaurant was only doing a buffet that evening, as they had a large party of tourists, but the food was reasonable and service was friendly and good.
