“Great hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2012

We stayed in this hotel in January 2011 for 2 nights and we were sorry to leave.Best is the locality of the hotel - definitely we recommend to do the hike which is startying exactly at the hotel and is passing 3 villages in Green Mountains. The hotel offers to pick u up anywhere during the hike, if you get tired and bring you back to hotel by car. Overall the staff was very friendly and carrying - beyond the expectations! We also liked food there, we got dinner and also during day small refreshment by the pool - try fresh lemon juice with mint...

We stayed for 1 night a week ago.
It started off with a welcome drink in the lobby. But the only corner available for this was full, so a very angry waithress brought it to another table after asing it twice... Didn't feel very welcoming...
For the price payed we had a very tiny room, an even tinier bathroom with a toilet in the corner (try to get your knees in between the toilet and the bathroom closet). The entire night we had a dripping shower, and a wet bathroom floor.
The view from the hotel is absolutely stunning, and off course I wanted to enjoy it from the jacuzzi in the garden... But since it wasn't very warm anymore (20-25 degrees C in daytime) they didn't warm the jacuzzi anymore. I tried to explain a jacuzzi is ment to be used in cold weather, but no luck there. And don't even think about the swimming pool.
To top it off, in the morning at 6:30 you get the noice from the new part of the hotel they're now building. So don't expect to relax. It would be excussable if it was in a building not belonging to the hotel, but in the hotel itself...? We just got breakfast at 7:00 AM, still very tired and left as fast as we could.
Definitly no boutique hotel, and wouldn't go there if you can stay somewhere else.

Just stayed for one night, arriving by self-driven car. No 4x4 needed to access hotel. Would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in the region.
Good infrastructure, nice hotel with style and comfort. High level of cleanliness. Service level is ok, but nothing outstanding. Dinner in hotel-lobby was moderate.

Hotel was quite empty although we went in high season. Probably because it's so new.

I really wanted to like this hotel, I really did. I'm an Oman fan and love the mountains and was really encouraged by the reviews on this website. Reality was disappointing. Mediocre, if well intentioned staff, poor food and truly awful rooms given the price (no lamps?? bare Walls???). This is not the simple, boutique-style hotel in the hi.ls you are expecting. Oh, and the workers start drilling on the new hotel they are building next door at about 7:30am...stay if you like the view. Don't stay for more than one night. And if you are a family, don't believe them that a balcony room will be big enough to accommodate 4.

We had a wonderful evening and morning at the Sahab. We recommend two nights if you have the time. Great staff, wonderful meals. The view is stunning. If you cannot stay over lunch available, worth the drive up the mountain.

We really enjoyed the friendly attitude of the staff and the extended stay (late checkout) to enjoy the sun set from the private terrace from the room !,

The rates are very high !!, but i guess this is the only hotel there of this standards ( remember its not even a single star hotel !!).
