Hopeless staff - no comprehension as to what I was trying to say on the phone. A General Manager who NEVER answers his phone or cuts you off. WAY OVERPRICED - no minibar, no pool, no WIFI, no view, an appalling restaurant. All in all, typical of hotels in the region in terms of customer service. I can stay at a 5 star central hotel in Dubai for half the price and have facilities coming out of my ears, as well as courteous and well - trained staff. Why on earth would I ever stay at the Jebel Akdhar Hotel ever again? It was for some time the only hotel on the mountain. Now there is the Sahab Hotel which is more like a proper hotel. The JAH has not changed despite the obvious need to, what with the competition. Perhaps it is owned by someone who does not give a damn.
