If you look for clean spacious rooms beautifully decorated, sunny rooftop terraces, friendly people and above all a felling as if you are just at home where every single detail is thought over, that's the place! We even had our own fireplace (working!) and aroma-lamps filled with oils :) The super hospitable and charming French owner - Jean Gabriel really cares for his guests creating a relaxing welcoming atmosphere. Me and my friends enjoyed immensely our 4-night stay. Definitely the best Riad among those we visited (Fes, Marrakech, Essaouira). Would love to come back again and will recommend it to my friends traveling to Morocco.

We stayed 5 nights . Lovely rooms, great artwork everywhere and relaxed atmosphere - rooftop dinning and sunbathing terraces sunny and sheltered even when windy!The photos just don't do the place justice. Clean spacious bedrooms, quality linen and endless hot water. Exceptional staff, friendly and helpful in so many ways - lighting fires in bedrooms , lending us bikes restaurant and shopping recommendations and a particular highlight for us was time with the cheerful cook preparing our delicious dinner - Moroccan chicken with fruits - a house speciality!

(-) Internet connection--There was very limited area where you can find a good signal. It was Christmas and I wanted to Skype with family and friends back in the US, not very convenient when I had to sit on the cold hard stairs to get a good signal.

(-) Never met the owner, I suppose he was away for vacation but that's part of the fun of staying at a Riad. We felt like we were staying in a hotel instead
(-) Breakfast, was just OK with no real variation. It was cold on the rooftop and lots of bees! (of course not the fault of the Hotels)

Riad Watier is the kind of place which is totally in line with Essaouira's sprit, no show off but excellent service.
The rooms can be described as discreet luxury, they are extremelly well decorated.
Breakfast is awesome with fruits, eggs, coffee, Moroccan bakeries homemade bread and pure honey.
Overall it's unbeattable value for money compared to other essaouira places.
