“Relaxing stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

Amenable staff, lovely oasis in the centre of the medina, nice courtyard, lovely restaurant opposite Le sirocco with live music, breakfast in the sun on the terrace with views of the sea. Spacious rooms, some with baths, choice of rooms up to 3rd floor. Very reasonable price given quality of interior, service and location.

This hotel in the Medina was a great find. The rooms are large, well appointed and airy. The staff is friendly. There are two highly rated restaurants just a few steps away and the hotel has free wifi. A really good place to stay.

We stayed here in October and it was a lovely Riad with lots of character and very individualised rooms. The rooms were much larger than exected with good quality bathrooms. All the rooms opened onto a central area and so was quite noisy first thing in the morning but otherwise there were no complaints. The breakfast was amazing and was brought to us up on the rooftop terrace so we could enjoy it in the sun. There was loads to eat and choose from. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the Medina making visiting the sites of Essaouira very easy. We wish we could have stayed here longer

We initially stayed for two nights and extended to five because we loved the Riad so much and Essaouira in general. Staff are very charming. Although their English isn't great, we managed to communicate and their hospitality was great. The breakfast was big and tasty and it can be eaten anywhere you choose in the Riad, the terrace is lovely and one morning there was a tortoise wandering around, adorable!

Very traditionally moroccon, comfortable, cosy, quiet. We had a beautiful stay, thanks very much!

A nice authentic Riad, with a lovely terrace for breakfast (unfortunately, wind in Essaouira does not allow to rest there), quite nice welcome and lovely lounge on the ground floor - also available for breakfast. Have not dined there but I think it is worth trying, homemade in the intimate kitchen. Rooms are large and nicely set up although our bathroom was slightly damp. To recommend.

We had a wonderful stay here. Welcome drink, helpful staff, spacious and beautifully decorated rooms and scrumptious breakfast served on the rooftop terrace. A great time in a convenient and very central location. We will definitely come back and we will recommend "Les Terrasses d'Essaouira" to family and friends.

My partner and I only stayed here for one night whilst travelling around Morocco. Essaouira is absolutely lovely, nice and chilled - just like this lovely Riad.

We were greeeted with refreshments which was nice following a long coach journey. Our room was great, no complaints. Much bigger than expected and absolutely spotless. We had a big four poster bed and a large bathroom.

The roof terrace is a great place to chill and sunbathe with plenty of tables and chairs and loungers.

Would highly recommend!
