Well situated in Essaouira close to all the restaurants and shops the Riad has a good ambience and is quite attractive. However we did not have a great experience when we stayed there..

The first bedroom we stayed in was hot and very air less at night and we found it difficult to sleep in. I suspect in the Summer it only gets worse. We found that the bed sheets were dirty and had not been changed. The " patron" was not apologetic for the state of the sheets and after some discussion we managed to move to a larger room for a small increase in price. Unfortuately during the next day there was building works being carried on next door so the room was not quiet.

Fom our experience we would not recommend this Riad to friends

When you enter the riad you receive a very welcoming and homely feel. There are fresh flowers everywhere and a big bottle of water and mini chocolate sweets in the room.
The ground floor is tastefully decorated. Free wireless Internet was accessible from the room .Big breakfast is serve on the roof in nice Moroccan Dishes. The owner is very kind. The Riad Very well located, in the medina not far from the harbor and the bastion.

We would recommend this riad, it’s a great place in Essaouira

One of the best things about staying at this Riad was that we were bumped up from our room to the best room in the house. It came as a beautiful surprise and we were so pleased - thank you so much!

Apart from that, the riad itself is beautiful and charming. The place is decorated with vintage posters, the rooms downstairs have games for families. Breakfast can either be served to your room or eaten down stairs - we always ate downstairs as it was so lovely!

We found that everyone in the riad had a respectful and knowledgeable approach. This, we found can sometimes make all the difference when you're in an unfamiliar place. The professional nature of everyone there is second to none - a very smooth operation! We were given lots of information on where to go for dinner, how to make our way back to the riad and were even given free maps of Essaouria.

The riad itself is well located and once inside its very easy to navigate even in the dark. There are sensor lights along the stairs and a light at the bottom of the stairs was always kept on.

I would highly recommend this place - and a tip to all those who do end up staying: there's a restaurant called Ramzy's near the riad that serves cold beer late into the night - definitely worth popping in!
