“The Restaurant/ Hotel..Aging like a fine Wine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2012 via mobile

Much continues to be said about the now celebrated Essaouira outpost, THE VILLA MAROC.
I thought that I would take the opportunity to comment on the Dining experience at The Villa Maroc. If you are having the wonderful rooftop Breakfast you are experiencing a complete breakfast, tender service and the best sea view in town, so beautiful that it's almost a distraction!
If you are having dinner in a private salon by the fire ( 12 months a year!) you will be surprised course after course with the best wines, cuisine that's finely tuned to everyone's tastes..and quiet service that's impeccable yet invisible. The villa Maroc, both the Restaurant as
well as the Hotel are aging like a very fine wine. It's always great returning home.
And many surprises along

After the hustle and bustle of marrakech it was great to come to Essaouria to enjoy the seafood and the relative calm. Can't really fault this place. Wifi was a bit sketchy at times and the room pricing was a little higher than I felt it justified but I would highly recommend this place to anyone and would return again.

Stayed at the wonderful Villa Maroc for a 2nd time recently, this time for a full week. Although it was busier than when we stayed last year, we could not have picked a more beautiful, relaxing place to stay.
breakfast on the terrace is definitely one of the highlights of this hotel - is a great way to start the day! We also ate in the hotel one evening which was absolutely gorgeous food & wine and very recently priced - lovely candlelit niche setting, very romantic!
Also had the hotel hammam, which was very good - I have had lots of hammams in my travels across the middle east, and this was definitley one of the best - great private little hammam to sweat away in and then a very good massage afterwards - we had the hammam experience for two which she managed very well.
Hotel staff are welcoming, friendly and very helpful as ever - everything is very well organised and all the staff were really sweet, supportive and helpful when I was unwell.

see you soon villa maroc!

Room Tip: all rooms are lovely!

Everytime we are in Essaouira, we go to the restaurant in Villa Maroc. Great food, ambiance and hospitality. The fixed course is 200 DH, which is about 20 EUR, and you can choose one out of three main dishes. The menu changes everyday depending on what kind of fresh ingredients they have an access to on the day. We love this place so much that we sometimes go two days in a row!

A very good and nicely decarated hotel, centrally in Essaouira.
We loved the breakfast at the rooftop terrace, the excellent dinner, the nice atmosphere in the hotel and the excellent service.
The room was nice and clean, but for the price we paid, we considered it a bit small.

The hotel was great, very interesting layout due to the 4 or so different (joined) houses, courtyards and so on. Food was very good. The staff were outstanding in our experience.

Room Tip: Having the sea view was lovely, though I have no idea what the other views were like.
