“A good place to start your day in Essaouira”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

A nice location for a day out. You can leave the car on the parking lot south of the Medina. From there you can visit all of Essaouira on foot. Climbing the Ramparts first gives you a beautiful view over the harbor, the beach and the Medina, and allows you to take your bearings. It's a rather small attraction, but well preserved and well worth visiting when in Essaouira.

“Lovely week in Marrakech”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2013

small but gives you a perfect view of the old city (small as well).
You must visit Essaouira if you go to Marrakech.
it's a one day trip, 2 1/2 hour by car and you will have a very scenic view on the way; like the argan oil cooperatives or goats on the top of argan trees.

“Awesome...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

You just have to see it.... It is very beautiful and is something no one should miss out on. The sea is incredible to see there along with the boats that are enchanting in their own way. You will not see anything like it.

“get a view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

We walked though the Medina to climb up the stairs to see canons and a little history. This is part of the old colonial past and well worth a visit.. Most of the good restaurants are in these area. The view out to see and over the city is amazing

“Spectacular sea views and lots of interesting stalls on the skala”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

Walking the ramparts is an exhilarating experience unlike any other port city we have visited, given the intact condition of the city walls and the battle with the elements. A unique experience; quite challenging when the wind is blowing.
