Not too much to sees here, run down and a dodgy in parts. You have to watch where you are putting your feet.

“Spectacular”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013

Our friends are renovating a house overlooking the sea and one of its walls is part of these ramparts. The waves constantly and dramatically crash against the walls and are just spectacular!

“What a view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

I could sit on the ramparts all day, just looking out over the waves coming in from the Atlantic, breaking on the old rocks. Beautiful. Also, it was a tranquil and calming place. No one bothering you. Just a slack and lazy old town.

“Impressive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

All intact in late Vauban style. Increadible views on the waves hitting rock outcrops and city walls.

“Great photo location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

Portuguese influence hundred years ago definitely give a "different" color and touch to Essaouira in comparison to other cities in Morocco. Although small in size, the local is able to keep it clean and interesting to visit, even the restroom was surprisingly clean for a public area.
