5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Great Riad in a superb location in the Medina with everything on your doorstep , the beach only 5 min walk away. Lovely clean rooms , cheerful and helpful staff , really nice roof terrace serving you a wonderful breakfast - Coffee , fresh juice , yogurt , fruit and pastry. Beautiful décor , recommend superior room with balcony . Would absolutely stay here again.

Overlooking the main street in the old city, we stayed in the Riad for 2 nights and it was a great experience overall. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the exterior is newly renovated and really stands out from the rest of the buildings nearby. Staff were very helpful throughout our stay. A great location within walking distance to all the attractions and the beach.

The Wind palace was refreshing, extremely clean with a wonderful room and bathroom. We looked over the main road in to the medina. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was relaxing. After much walking through the old medina it was fun to hire a bike and zip about independently.. The front desk were most helpful and I enjoyed the opportunity to converse with the woman who was managing the front desk there. Thank you for a great stay. Essaouira was such a contrast to the arid desert and mid atlas terrains.

My husband and I stayed at the Wind Palace for 5 nights in May. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the main road in the Medina. It was a little noisy night time but so worth having the balcony. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was very clean as was the bathroom. I think the Riad might have been recently renovated.
The location was great, right in the Medina and within minutes to the beach and fishing port.
I would highly recommend this place.
The breakfast was basic and for one or two mornings would be OK but not for an extended stay.

Room Tip: Splurge and get a balcony room

My wife and I stayed at the Wind Palace for 2 nights and 3 days. The hostel is new, fresh and clean. The rooms have enough space for 2 pax, own bathroom and wc also. Everything from the towels to the bed linings was clean, those things are changed by hostel staff every late morning. The room also hd flat screen tv with satellite reception. The staff were polite and welcoming.
And the price was aminzingly low considering what one get: 350 MAD/night/room including breakfast.
The hostel's location is also a peak point, since it is located in the heart of the city, at a walking distance to about everything including the beach.
We recommend this hostel to everyone without any hesitation and we'll undoubtfully stay there again, after all, Essaouira alone is worth the trip.

Room Tip: Rooms on the patio are less noisy than the ones on the street, though they don't have a balcony

The Essaouira wind palace is centrally placed and an easy walk to everywhere. We had a lovely room with a great bathroom (we had been kindly upgraded to a mini sweet). The hotel had obviously been recently done up so was very clean and smart. The breakfast was very good and could be served on the roof terrace or in the downstairs lobby. The staff were very friendly and helped us out with directions and taxi’s. Our room was street facing and was little noisy however. There are no cars in this bit of town just lots of bustle. A very nice hotel at a great price.

The Essaouria Wind Palace is a beautiful hotel, gorgeously and gracefully decorated and the staff are great. The Wind Palace location is perfect, too, being right in the medina and within walking distance of all the shops and the waterfront. And of course, Essaouira is such a charming, beautiful and relaxed vacation spot in Morocco.

Room Tip: I would totally recommend the rooms with windows on the street, and the rooms with balcony are the b...
