Following recommendation from other Trip Advisor's members, as well as from riad's (we stayed at) staff member, we have had our first meal in Essaouira in this small and lovely family-run restaurant. Mr. Tarik is polite, quiet, non-intrusive host, and will do his best to make you enjoy authentic and very delicious Moroccan food. And so we did. We liked it so much that we came back for dinner :)
Both times we have sit inside (it's very small in that sense), because some construction was going on on that small square. But just FYI: there are few tables outside. Again, this is small family-run restaurant.

Both harira (traditional Morrocan soup) and cream vegetable soup were great, bread was fresh, and cous-cous and tajine way above the 'standards' we have experienced in typical 'tourist places' while visiting Marrakech that week.

Food is cooked upon your order, and so it's not prepared in advance. It's fresh ingredients and Mr. Tarik's cooking skills (and his - we assumed - daughter's serving skills) result in tasty and enjoyable meals, with very fair price tags.

Don't miss this restaurant if you visit Essaouira. Highly recommended.
