“What an experience!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2012

WOW!!! we did this today (24/05/12) and should have done longer!! Really well organised and a lovely English speaking guide who takes the time for you to stretch your legs and give you information about the surroundings!
He took us to various sites which included the old sultans palace a little fishing village and plenty of sand dunes and camels to see! wonderful views of essaouira!!
We booked through our hotel and they came and picked us up in there pink van and we were off!! 1 hour was not enough!
Highly recommended!!

“Great way to see a different part of Essaouria”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2012

Dunes, beach, wind farm, wild camels, fisherman shanty towns, a great way to send an afternoon out of the city.

“Amazing experience. Must do in Essaouria.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2012

Read reviews on TA and decided to go quad-biking. Palmaquad seemed to be the go to choice. Had initially made a reservation with them, but had to cancel last minute. Decided to go with Diana Quad instead as they were willing to negotiate the price. There were three people in our group and I think we settled for 200 Dh for an hour ea. One of the guides came to pick us up from the market we were at in a pink van, which was amusing. On the way we passed up the big Palmaquad setup and wondered if we made the right choice. We were shown our rides and given helmets (which were not in the best shape). Our guide took us along the beautiful shores and through some dunes. It was going great despite the fact it was a little chilly and we were bundled up. After about 45 mins we stopped and renegotiated for another hour to go deeper into the dunes. This was the most fun part. It was just the three of us and the guide (ahmed) and we were whizzing up and down dunes! it was so exciting. Our guide helped us out whenever we got stuck and let us explore on our own to take pictures etc. We saw a big group of palmaquaders in their 'uniforms' going behing each other in a line escorted by a guide at the front and the back of the line. This was while we were freely rolling up and down steep dunes multiple times! Glad we didnt get stuck on the big group which didnt seem to be doin exciting moves. So if you are ready for some serious fun and dont mind not having state of the art equipment, Diana Quad is no doubt the better choice!

“sand sand sand”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2011

Haggled these guys down to 400 Dh for 3 hours. The three hour ride consists of the ruined fort, "Jimi Hendrix house", dunes etc. The guide didnt speak english but we let him know when we wanted to stop for a rest or water break. Just pass over your camera and he will take pics of your group. Bring your own water and something to cover your face because it does get quite rough. Three hours on a quad bike is a long time and you will feel sore after bashing the dunes. Going down the steep dunes is a white knuckle ride so prepare yourself. Overall it was a good experience and we even stopped off at a fishing village where we took a break and drank sweet tea. At the end a tip is expected for the guide. We gave 10 dh each in our group.
