“Excellent Value Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2013

My friend and I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. We were located in the villa around the corner from the hotel - the place was amazing - traditional furnishings and a very large balcony, only downside were the water supply and shower facilities (bath with a shower attachment), air conditioning worked well. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. They arranged for a taxi back to the airport, trips on camel and horseback as well as calling a doctor out for me!I I had to go on a light diet and they were only too willing to prepare what I had requested. The taxis to the Medina cost less than 60p and easy to get. If ever I revisit Essaouria I would definiteystay at the Al Jasira, great value and great staff.

We were booked here for a stay of 2 weeks to chill out after a long journey. The staff were friendly yet quite relaxed. The walk into the Medina gave ua regular exercise. Rooms and ensuite kept very clean.

Very poor value for money, offer just mobile air condition untis which were ot in our rooms to start with. Although they can take cards for payment they insisted to get some on the money in cash!
Breakfast ws OK though and also rooms are not too bad

Recently I visited Essaouria and stayed in Al Jasira Hotel. The hotel has nice location near the beach. Hotel staff were very efficient and helpful. It is bit old style and some furniture need replacement but over all it seems fine.

Lovely quite hotel near Essaouria's Beach. Well appointed clean hotel with modern tv, wifi and hundreds of channels catering for all. No bar. Buffet syle food for breakfast and dinner. Ideal for breaks away Well laid back place about 5 minutes walk from the beach or 25 minute stroll to the medina. No hassle shopping. Hotel is a little basic but well appointed and staff are friendly and willing to help. A footnote: Part of the hotel suites are up the road a little and have no fridge or drinking facilities so arranging a cup of tea means treaking with hot water etc. although the staff can cater for this. Food basic continental but if you want a cooked egg just ask. No toaster. Fish mainly on the menu most nights but we just eat out most evenings at a beach bar which was reasonable with beer and european food. Just a relaxing getaway for us but weathers warm and as I said laid back so really good. Pool is small and basic but with the beach so close it did not matter. Will go again and maybe take the children.

Room Tip: Accommodating hotel so if not happy I am sure they would change your room if required but they are a...

Nice hotel. Lovely pool. Good location. Food was really nice, staff were accommodating and beds were really comfy. Shame there wasn't any air con but that didn't make a big difference. Essouirra is a lovely town. They manged to cater for our group of 19 really well!

Room Tip: All the rooms are perfectly nice!

We stayed here in June 2010, but have taken a while to getting around to writing this- sorry! Our stay was brilliant. We would especially like to compliment and thank the staff- they were all FANTASTIC- so helpful, smiley and welcoming. When we arrived they promptly greeted us with delicious peppermint tea, and then upgraded us to a brilliant room! It was so luxurious, it had a huge bed and sofas with a big tv and lovely big windows. We felt so pampered!! The breakfasts were delicious too, and varied a bit with each day which was nice. There were lots of options. The pool is brilliant- just what you need to cool off from the heat of the day and a nice size. We stayed for 5 nights, and Essaouira itself great. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the centre from the hotel, but the walk itself is lovely- all along the beach! There is lots to do in the town and it was a really nice break from the hustle bustle of Marrakech. We had a particularly delicious meal in a little fishing square- sardine tagine. It was all home cooked and really cheap. The souks were thriving- lots of stuff to buy and it's great fun to have a barter. We loved al jasira, thank you to all the staff!!
