This place is brilliant if you want a little home comfort or have just had enough of mint tea or rich food. It does excellent scones. It is quite hard to find, and is right at the end of one of the main shopping streets - keep going, it is worth finding. The staff were really friendly.

Cafe doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food was fresh and tasty and the service good. Veggie chili wrap went down particularly well, with fresh fixings and piping hot veggie chili like my mother's :)

The cafe is on a quiet square, with cats lazing nearby and an artisan's workshop across the way.

Keep in mind it is NOT where the map from most hotels says it is - it's actually on the corner of Avenue Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah and Rue Boutouil.

I've eaten many burgers in my life, but the burgers at La Cantina wow :-p. Eat your heart out "Land of the Hamburger"...

We had a few hours in Essouaria and came across this little eatery. Friendly, very clean and food is nicely presented. Unfortunately I suffered a tummy upset after having a burger and didn't eat anything else till the following day. I always eat the local cuisine when in Morocco and have never had any problems, even after eating at the stalls in Djemma El Fna, Marrakech. This was the first time I had ever eaten 'western' food in Morocco. Shame.
