I was expecting a little more from this hotel, but perhaps that's because my friends and I had talked it up a bit between ourselves beforehand.
The staff on reception were a little too laid back for my liking as our room had no towels, the heater didn't work (no central heating or air con built in), and we had to battle a bit to get a blanket for each of the beds. We got there in the end!
Otherwise, the staff were friendly, the buffet breakfast was pretty good (pancakes and chocolate cake especially), and the room terrace was particularly enjoyable.
The only downside is there was no fridge or hairdryer in the room and there were no English TV channels.
Overall it was an OK stay for the one night we stayed.

Good location, decent rooms but should bring own towels as they are hard and dirty. Tried to go for early morning walk but fire exits locked at night. Staff surly and unhelpful, told us incorrect times for breakfast. Wouldn't stay again.

We stayed for 2 nights in june 2012. Our room had an ocean view with a fine balcony. The room was spotless and a fine shower. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was tasty and good quality. Very comfortable beds. Perfect location for the beach and Medina. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice.

We enjoyed the Hotel Miramar so much we stayed an extra night. Lovely rooms and with the beach so close we fell asleep each night to the sound of the waves, all the staff were really friendly and when my partner asked to use an Internet connection the manager obliged by letting him use his own computer behind reception which caused some giggles as people were checking out. They couldn't have done more to please. Avoid the morning pancakes though, they're like leather!

The location was perfect, beach is over the road (worth going to the Surfers shack for a beer and a relaxing afternoon) and the walk into town to the medina and harbour is just a few minutes.
