“Beutiful view of the Atlantic + Charming Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

My wife & I spent one night at this hotel. This hotel is fairly large with well appointed rooms .We had a sea facing room and we watched the sunset over the Atlantic .Very romantic. Room & the bathroom was very clean with clean bath& bed linen. As vegetarians we found the breakfast adequate .The staff in particular Naima was charming and very helpful.

Room Tip: Sea facing rooms are superb

We booked a luxury room with sea view, they showed us a room on the 3rd floor, room was dark, curtains were closed to keep the sun out, it was 30 degrees in the room, airco wasn't working, it was heating .according to the staff it was still winter in Essaouria. They tried to find us another room at the shadow side of the hotel, no seaview but a 30 degrees room you can't sleep.
We were informed that the manager visited our room but could not find us, no message from him at all.
Amal did her very best and found us a room. The rooms are not luxurious and should be re-decorated, furniture is damaged. the bathroom is ok but towels are thin and they only provide 2 small and 2 big one, no turn down service.
The breakfast was fair but the staff were unhelpful, I asked for a expresso but the lady told me to go the the buffet but the buffet did not provided, finally they brought me a espresso.
We wanted to book a nice restaurant but the man at the frontdesk informed me Fanatic which is ok but not a fine restaurant, we also wanted to book a tour, not available , strange.
At the fool you have to be carefull since the wooden floor is damaged ( the couches also)
On the plus side, the location was perfect as it is a gorgeous walk across the beach to the town but means you are away from the hustle and bustle. The food and service at 'Le Seven' beach restaurant was excellent (maybe run independently?) The views & sunsets are stunning and the lovely porter gets my vote for the best member of staff in the whole place.
it was a disappointed and the staff and manager did not care.

Great hotel, lovely staff (who pampered our little children), good food. Setting on the beachfront boulevard is ideal for walks along the beach or to the atmospherique medina, especially at sunset. Rooms are large, spotless and clean.

Room Tip: A room with a beachview is ideal for watching the sunset.

I have frequented this hotel got three years and I am sadden to say it's 5 star status has gone down, considerably.
The staff look unhappy and stressed. The attention to detail has been lost. The quality of the food has also lowered to a worrying standard.
My mother and I were weary of going into the spa, having been one of the things we looked forward to the most. And we weren't wrong ether. The two technicians were arguing and gossiping across the hallway wilts we were getting a manicure and pedicure. Which is needless to say that ended up as a poor finish.
The room was beautiful as always, yet a few fixtures were broken as well as the shower which was extremely temperamental and you were never sure if you would end up being able to have a shower.
If they lowered their star rating I probably wouldn't batt an eye lid, there is no way they are a 5 star hotel anymore.

Stayed for just one night. It was such a shame that my wife was so poorly and was in bed at 6.00pm. (On return to the Uk she was hospitalised for a week with pneumonia )
The room was spacious and the oversized bed was so comfortable with beautiful bed linen. Bath robes are provided too.We would have loved to have visited the spa and had an evening meal.

We would love to return with both of us in rude health. Perhaps we will, money permitting, one day.

We had a wonderful holiday. We had a room with seaview, simply amazing! Spotless, nice temperature, very friendly staff. One can easily spend a whole week or even two without getting bored. On women's day they gave every woman a rose....

Everything was as expected and it all went smoothly. Helpful staff. I was advised that is I should have any problem, I can't contact the quality control manager. If you have any problems, ask for the Quality Control manager and she will be glad to help.
