“Camel ride on the beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2014

I was NOT leaving Morrocco without riding a camel but the ones I saw in Marrakech did not look particularly healthy so I was not very happy about riding one and having a good conscience. On a day trip to Essaouira our driver told us he 'knew someone' ...he knew lots of someones...and would arrange it. We were having lunch right near the beach and he came to the table and told us we would be collected in 4x4 and taken to the ranch! Indeed we were and after a short but very bumpy ride we were there. Mustafa was our guide and showed us how to get on our dromedaries without breaking any important bones, our trusty steeds were Cappuccino and Omar. It was FAB! Mustafa pointed out falcons living in the ruins of a fort on the beach, a flock of flamingos just arrived from Madagascar flying low over the bay, lots of trees and plants and dromedary facts. It was cool and breezy on the beach and we even went into the sea which was such a welcome break from the 100f heat in Marrakech. A fantastic hour that will always be remembered.

“Cola camel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2014

My friend and I had a brilliant 2 hour camel ride over the dunes and beach, with the very knowledgable guide Mustafa. A really fun trip with the photos to show!
Oh and apparently camels like chocolate and coke!

“Nice horses and excellent service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2014

We were a little group of friends (6 women) trekking for 6 days in the beautiful mountains of Morocco. Compared to our horses in Denmark we found the arabic horses somewhat skinny, but they had a lot of stamina and looked lustrous. We had two guides during the ride, and a huge van took our luggage and tent from our camp to the next. The cook and his crew were excellent!! We had the most delicious dinners I did ever dream of out there in the middle of 'nothing' :)

I recommend Ranch de Diabat if you like to travel by horse in this beautiful area.

“camel riding in essouria”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2014

A superb afternoon (2hr ) trip in the company of a great guide. We booked in the morning in the town. In the afternoon we were picked up and taken to the ranch. The afternoon was spent exploring the woods and beaches away from the town - another world! It was good to get away from the hustlers and deal with a professional team, money truly well spent .An absolute highlight of our stay in Morocco.
