“Cistern”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2014

As there are no many sites to see in the city, this cistern is a welcome site and it is great! Little water that is there make a good reflection of the upper parts so you can have pretty cool photos. The entrance fee is 10 dh like for all sites of national importance in Morocco.

What a surprise. I have never seen anything like this. We must have spent an hour taking photos. HIGHLY recommend!

“Amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2014

I couldn't get enough incredible photos of this subterranean world. The way the rays of light entered this cisterne was otherworldly. The massive stone columns/cisterne design are a true engineering masterpiece. Try to go during mid-day when the light is best.

“Historical”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2014

The Cistern was small but full of history. It was marvellous to explore although a little dark in places. Took some fabulous photos in this very unusual and rather ethereal place. Almost expected a monk or two to appear!!
The Cistern isn't very well sign posted but is easy to find and cost 13 DIrhams to enter. You only need about an hour to explore this piece of timeless and fascinating history but well worth the visit.

Beautiful reflections of the ancient pillars in the water and of the sky. Very unusual. Makes interesting photos.
