We returned this morning after a 10 night holiday in this hotel, and I think we have had one of the best holidays ever. Yes the hotel was small and does seem to cater for families but that wasn't a problem at all for us, there is an area called Sandy Lane which is adults only and if you just want to chill in an evening its lovely (ask them for shots of 'home made vanilla or fruit rum' made by the hotel, you can buy this by the bottle to take home!. The few nights we spent in the main bar where also great and had no complaints about the entertainment (some of whom wandered around the dining room "entertaining" the diners before their 9pm start).
The food in our opinion was far to good!!!. Lots of freshly grilled meat/fish to add to lovely salads and was told you could order chips if you want them! No stomach problems at all which was great!
Yes we agree that the rooms are dark, but I think that is to do with the lack of enough lighting points, and maybe they should be painted a bit lighter in colour. The room (number 1105) was absolutely spotless thanks to Davyanee, who constantly surprised us with her towel creativity (especially on my 60th birthday) and we could also use the Wifi in our room!. The showers were powerful with lots of hot water (although sometimes the temperature fluctuated so watch that with children). We were informed that the hotel would be 'fogged' on Tuesdays at 5.30pm to try to keep mosquitoes down, but we were there 2 Tuesdays and this did not happen, (it could have been because of the rain). We were told by guests who left just after we arrived that after the fogging the flies are also reduced, but maybe because they did not 'fog' whilst we were there I must say the many flies were quite a problem and on the beach it was like a full body workout as they landed on bare skin and everyone shuffled around!!
Would recommend Bradley on the beach for trips, we went on the catamaran trip, which was fantastic, which includes the most delicious bbq on the boat, but it is a long day, take suntan lotion.
Also we went on Bradleys south island tour, which was very interesting .
