The hotel is on the beach front and the rooms all face the sea. The rooms are spacious and the food excellent. It was a very relaxed holdiday. The sea temperature was very warm although it was the beginning of their winter.

Room Tip: The floor rooms are nice but everyone can look in that is walking past.

My husband and I spent 7 glorious days just resting and enjoying ourselves. It saw a lovely holiday that we can recommend to anyone in need of a relaxing holiday. And the spa offers excellent massages!!

We have just got back from a week at Le Victoria. We were a family of 10, including 2 teens and 2 kids ages 4 and 7. We were on the all inclusive package which I would strongly recommend as it takes the hassle out of worrying about how much you are eating and drinking! The food was outstanding and every meal was a treat. Apart from the main restaurant, Le Superbe, which is a buffet, there are 2 other restaurants. If you are on the all Inclusive the other 2 restaurants, La Casa and L'Horizon do not offer much of a selection, only 2 options per course, however the food was outstanding. We were advised that evening dress was smart casual and took smart clothes with us, but as long as the gentleman are wearing long pants, it was fine. I saw most people in jeans and T shirts or Chino's and golf shirts so it really is not necessary to pack a lot of smart clothes. Woman wore casual dresses and trousers too. The staff were extremely friendly, attentive and efficient. The rooms are wonderfully spacious and clean. The whole hotel really is beautifully appointed with nothing lacking. The kids club was well organized and constantly has something on for the little ones. Just be aware when booking a baby sitter ,the hotel quoted the babysitting at 200 Rupees/hour, but when the babysitter was ready to leave she asked for an additional 300 Rupees for her taxi, after helping herself to the cashew nuts from the mini bar which were R40! The baby sitters are hired externally and are not part of the hotel.
We were advised to take rubber swimming/diving shoes as the beach in front of the hotel has quite a lot of coral. I think they were a waste of money as I only used them once, there is a fair amount of coral when swimming, but you can swim around it and you can certainly walk along the beach without it being a problem. If you have little kids who want to climb the rocks, maybe buy them, but we didn't find them necessary.
All in all Le Victoria was an amazing experience, which we thoroughly enjoyed and would definitely go back.

Room Tip: Our room numbers were 153 - 158. which were on the ground floor a little away from the main restaura...

My family have just returned from the Le Victoria Beachcomber Hotel, Mauritius. Words cannot describe the excellent service, food, facilities and overall experience. The 3 restaurants gave us difficult decisions every meal time as we could decide which one to choose from, in the end Le Casa won. The beach and water sports were fantastic and kept us all busy. Finally the dive centre was very well run and offered the hole family dives to suit our levels.

Room Tip: Ground floor straight onto the beach
