If you're looking for a place to chill out and have a few (cheap) beers then Kenzibar is the place to go. Its got an African theme, great "Rum Arrange" and cold,cold Phoenix beer. There's a relaxed atmosphere and bbqs on a Sunday . The place also does food (need to make a reservation) tapas, and a mean selection of cocktails which are also very cheap!

“Mauritius Experience”

I was really looking forward to visiting Mauritius, having been told just how beautiful it was and how friendly the people were. Unfortunately I found that Flic en Flac didn't live up to its reputation. The main road with the restaurants was poluted, dirty, extremely busy and was more reflective of the main road in Pahos Cyrus than and exotic and exclusive location. The locals were grumpy, and not very helpful.
The beach there was clean, but lacked the tropical and exclusive feel of other world beaches.
Got to say I was hugely disappointed, and I only wish we'd have time to visit other locations in Mauritius in order to improve our view of the island.
