I stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago. The staff was great but the property was not. They might be starting to renovate some of the areas since the carpet was ripped up as is of ot was going to be replaced. My room was very spacious but the layout of the room was poor, and plenty of available space was not used. When I got to my room, I heard a snoring sound and thought that it was from another room next to me or above me. As it turned out, the noise was from my refrigerator. I was going to say something about it, but somehow I feel asleep and slept thorugh the night. The walls were quite thin, and many of the guests were loud and inconsiderate since they let doors slam and talked loud. Breakfast was great and the staff was friendly and cared about their guests.
Since IBM is headquarted not that far away from here, I would have thought that the hotel would be much better since I am sure IBM gets plenty of customers, employees, and suppliers who may stay overnight and would think that the hotel would consider this. Armonk is an expensive area, and the hotel certainly does not reflect it.
I could have stayed in White Plains, but this hotel was very close to where I needed to be. It is a shame that the hotel staff which was great does not have the best kept up hotel to work with as far as conditions are concerned. I did speak to some people that I know, and they told me that La Quinta has not kept up maintaining some of their properties. In this case it seems that there might be some renovations that are about to start, but who knows.
Once again, the hotel was not the best, nor the worst. Hopefully, the hotel will be renovated soon, and the great staff that works there can have a better hotel to work with than what they have now. I will be going back to this area soon, and would stay here since it is close to where I need to buy and makes no sense to stay too far away with gasoline prices the way they are now.
