“Great atmosphere, great pizza and pasta”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013 via mobile

We were a group of 14 on a casual business dinner. Nice table set-up, good atmosphere, barn style restaurant. Pizza, pasta and starters excellent. Then they brought out chicken and pork and veg, which was ok, but not great. Biggest negative was the quantity of food, far far too much. Not sure if our fault or restaurants. Very good selection of wines at reasonable prices

“Great dining experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

Based on the two reviews I read and the fact that I'm new to the area, we decided to try Fortina for dinner on a Thursday evening. The atmosphere is truly charming...kind of a rustic, upscale barn feel. Large TV's were running Finding Nemo which is an interesting choice because I'm not sure I'd consider this a family restaurant but that is truly beside the point. The pizza menu, which was what intrigued us enough to come here, is fabulous! This isn't your traditional pizza but a creative, inspired mix of ingredients on a fantastic crust. I'd be interested in trying some of the pasta or entree dishes next time but only after making pizza an appetizer! Service was great, beer was cold and we relaxed and enjoyed the entire experience. Don't miss it!

“Get there right away before it gets "discovered".”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2013 via mobile

Go! Superlative food in a delightfully edgy space. Comfortable chairs made out of barrels, light fixtures that are repurposed chicken feeders, a sliding "barn" door, etc. make for an ambience that's fun and fascinating. And the food. Sigh. If I could give it 6 stars, it'd still be an understatement. Nonna's pizza was a standout, as were the wood-fired baby carrots and the baby veal meatballs. If you're looking for a uniquely delicious meal, you're headed to the perfect spot.

“Relaxing! Wonderfully unexpected”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013 via mobile

It's was a great place to sit down and just have original food. Not many things on this menu are ordinary and this is what makes it so good. Actually we are going back tonight.
