Staff was very helpful n cooperative, lot of activities, good food, spa n staff were good, nice destination for photography, although expensive, trip to Mali ,

My dream destination has always been Maldives and my stay @ Vabbinfaru exceeded all expectations.My ocean view villa right on the beach gave a feeling of private beach,the corals could be seen even if you don't go scuba diving the water is so blue,their bar in the middle of the sea makes u feel as if u r in another planet.With a private open air jaccuzi and people who pamper you to the hilt it was an unforgetable experience.We could do scuba diving here as well as @ Angsana and get the experience of 2 resorts while staying at one.Would highly recommend to visit this place once a lifetime.

the stay was very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. it is a small resort so everyone seemed to know you by your name, which made you feel important. the service was very good and the room in which I stayed the beach front was truly amazing. we get up with the ocean in front of you and the sun peeping in if you are an early morning person. i walked upto the bar from my room in the evening and the stars were like millions of lamp in the sky. I would definitely return here for a longer period, to enjoy the underwater world of the corals and the marine life. being a vegetarian was not a problem. Please go there if you care to be pampered

I have recently stayed at Angsana Ihuru which is the sister island / property of the Banyan tree Resort. it's right next door and can be accessed by very short boat ride.
Banyan Tree resort is ver nice and a great place for some interesting experiences. I for one loved watching the Ray feeding in the evenings. It was only then that i learned how clever and affectionate these beautiful sea creature are. You can also snorkel out to the sea turtle conservatory where they are raising injured and baby sea turtles for release in the wild. it's wonderful.
I did some diving on the house reef and it was also very nice. I still vote that the house reef next door on Angsana is much nicer and much easier to access. I did not stay at the Banyan Tree this trip so I cannot comment further on this resort but i can say, the staff are extremely nice and helpful and the resort is as beautiful ad you would expect.. This trip was our 2nd stay at Angsana within 3 months (first time in Angsana, Banyan Tree was closed for renovations). maybe next trip we will do it the other way around, stay at Banyan Tree and visit Angsana ;-)
