“Real Heaven !!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2012

I visited the hotel on my honeymoon on 14 / 5 / 2011 ... It was my first visit to Maldives, I believe it couldn't be any better !!!
We had 2 butlers waiting for us at the airport to help us with our bags and with booking a flight for the seaplane TMA ... Then we were guided to the Conrad Lounge which was magnificent and they offered complimentary drinks, snacks buffet and massage !!
We then took the seaplane to the island (35 mins) and we enjoyed the view from above, real heaven !!!
When we arrived to the island, each couple were met and guided with their Thakaru, and they gave us a mobile to call him at any time if we needed any thing ...
We stayed at the sunrise water bungalow (403) and I have to say you can't find something better !!! Everything you might need was available in it ... Even the sunscreen lotion !! The view was dreamy !! The jacuzzi was so warm and nice in front of the amazing view of horizon and crystal clear ocean ...
The food there was so delicious like I've never ate before, and so fresh !! We had our lunch once at the Ithaa restaurant under the sea, 2 hours seemed to pass as 2 mins ...
The staff is adorable and so friendly and helpful ... It seems like they read your mind and know what you want or need before you speak ....
Thinking about visiting the resort ? Don't think twice !! Go and enjoy heaven, you won't feel sorry

Room Tip: Don't miss the water bungalow

It was our first time in the Maldives and I think it could not have been better.
We stayed at the resort for quite a few nights and we could not find anything that was less than ideal.
Even if the weather was not great, the place is so beautiful and the service so good that we did not notice.

It was truly a magnificent stay, long enough to fully enjoy and decide that it is a place to go back to whenever is possible, again and again.

I dont know the other resorts but the house reef is almost as good as the places you visit by excursion. There are two small islands interconnected, you can really appreciate the beauty of each one from the other side.

Excellent food, even better service, the Rangali and the Vilu bar relaxing and welcoming.
Breakfast at the Vilu bar right on the water is a real treat, lunch at the undewater restaurant an everlasting memory, dinner at the buffet something that you cannot forget for the quality and quantity, food served at the bar is better than many restaurants at home..what else can you say.
Ah, we did only one excursion but that is the only thing I would change: more of them..

The staff is friendly, helpful and makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Karim must be one of the most corteous and easy going resort manager you can find and surely keeps things running like a clockwork, but without really noticing the watchful eyes of his staff and himself..

Truly amazing..just as you see on the movies...

Room Tip: any of the rooms on the island are good; better on th side of the island away from the reception if...

I visited Conrad Rangali Island in June of 2012 with my wife and two daughters (12 & 7 years old). We took thousands of photos during our stay and we enjoy looking at them often and wishing we were still there. The two islands are so beautiful it's really hard to describe. The water is a sunning shade of blue that it draws you in. We spent many hours just sitting still in that warm blue water. There were only a few other children on the island during our stay and I can't imagine that there is ever too many children there. The islands are large enough that you do not see too many other people while you are at the beaches. There are usually a few people in the pool but never crowded. We cannot stand vacationing with tons of other people, we like tranquility and quiet times at the beach. There are plenty of opportunities to socialize in the evening if you like to do that. We spent an hour or two every day at the Vilu bar in the evening. The staff is excellent and always made our girls some virgin drinks so they enjoyed themselves as well. All the non motorized water sports activities are free so I took the girls out a few times on a two person kayak. The water over the reef is crystal clear so while kayaking you can enjoy the beautiful fish small and large swimming around you. There was no current and the water was calm so our entire family was able to enjoy snorkeling on the beautiful reefs behind our villa.

For all the Hilton Honors members like myself, there is no better way to utilize your Honors points. I stay more nights in a Hilton property than my home each year. As a Diamond member, our entire experience from the moment we landed at the airport in Male until the time we left the Maldives was amazing. As soon as we cleared customs, there wasa Conrad representative that met us and escorted us the the Conrad lounge at the airport. The lounge was very luxurious and the food and drinks were great. Not to mention the complimentary massages while we waited for the Conrad seaplane. The views from the Seaplane while flying to Rangali were awsome. As soon as we landed at Rangali were were greeted by our Island host Nizam, he was a great guy and patiently answered all our questions. As a Diamond members here are other perks which I won't get into here but you Honors people know what they are. Our villa was huge with it's own plunge pool that the kids spent lots of time in when they were not at the beach.

The two islands were spotless. There was not a cigarette butt or candy wrapper anywhere to be seen. It has to be one of the cleanest places on the planet.

Some key points:

- The two islands at Rangali are not crazy party islands. If your are looking to go nuts at a beach and party all night long with a bunch of drunk people acting like idiots, this is not the place for you. Go to Florida or Mexico if you want that.

- The Seaplane cost is $500 per person and $250 for children under 12 years old. Yes, it's a bit steep bit once you get to Rangali you will forget about the seaplane cost.

- Restaurants at Rangali are fairly expensive. Ok, that's relative so I will give you an example. There are lots of places to eat but the cheapest pricing you will find is $95 per person for dinner at a buffet. You can request all the pricing for all the restaurants in advance. We found that if we ate a big breakfast around 9am and had dinner early we were fine with a few snacks between Breakfast and Dinner. We wanted to maximize our time in the water.

- If you are into marine life, schedule a trip with the whale shark conservation group that works on Rangali

To sum up the review, I have been to many hotels in the world but I have not found anything like Conrad Rangali Island. We are already planning our next trip and looking forward to getting in that water.

Just had 5 days in a deluxe water villa. The room, amenities, bed, bathroom, deck and hot tub are all of the highest standard. The over water villas are worth the extra money – they are truly magnificent. This resort really needs to be seen to be believed. Water an amazing palette of blues, reef swarming with brightly coloured fish and everything literally at your finger tips.

There are restaurants to cater for almost any food requirement, air conditioned or right by the sea, an extensive international wine list and friendly knowledgeable staff to assist you in your decision. The staff are particularly noteworthy, they are clearly very well trained and really couldn’t be more helpful or obliging and are genuinely there to ensure you have a great time. For once here is a hotel that exceeds all expectations – truly somewhere you must visit.

Room Tip: Do choose an over water villa

For the second year this August we went back at Conrad Rangali and it was GREAT! We stayed at the King deluxe Beach Villa for 5nights and it was a really nice room.the outdoor bathroom is amazing and the private pool is pleasant. For the next 6 nights we moved to the water villa as last year. The room was perfect and very nice. I suggest it if it's your first time at the maldives! every night we could admire sharks, rays and other fish under the villa!!
We had a sunset dinner and it was so unique! All restaurants are excellent and service is amazing-everything is perfect !!
This resort doesn't need further words...because it's a dream to live!
Hopefully we'll go back next year!!
If you have the opportunity to go...don't miss it at all !!!!

A special thank you and "hi" to Maximilian and Sabrina...

I got 6 nights on points, wasn't sure quite what to expect, was thoroughly delighted due to beautiful set up and fantastic service. We haven't been to Maldives before so have no comparison, I stayed at the Conrad NY in July and found this Conrad to be far superior. We don't stay in high end resorts often, but we likened this to our trip to the Emirates resort (Al Maha) in Dubai. That may have been a bit more exclusive, but we enjoyed both very much. Would definitely recommend!

Highlights:
Got upgraded from beach villa to spa water villa - amazing! Villa had a great deck with hot tub, loungers, steps to the sea. There was a spa room that we didn't use, that had a yoga mat, weights etc. It was our 2 yr anniversary - I'm only a silver member so not sure how we got it but am not complaining! Also got wine and a lovely floral display to celebrate.

Excellent service from all staff, nothing was too much trouble, as mentioned in prior reviews, they worked hard to know your name. We planned to join the Koko grill 9 course dinner chef experience but i don't eat fish or seafood. They (Wolfgang the F&B mgr) was very happy to tailor the meal for me. In the end the dinner was cancelled due to rain, bit i was impressed with the personal service. I agree that at Madhu Bar one of the waitresses was grumpy, but the boys Roman and Yasu were lovely.

Swam with whaleshark, v expensive, but worth it. It came to $450 for 2 of us.

Massages in the spa - same or cheaper as London prices so quite acceptable.

Space - Rangali is big enough to provide choice and space, we loved the many restaurants to choose from, the option to explore 2 islands, the sports facilities, e.g cats, windsurf, kayaks

Tips:
It was expensive for food/drinks/activities. We made most of free drinks at GM welcome, Mandu bar afternoon tea each day. We also drank during happy hour etc. We also took snacks with us to alleviate the final bill;)

We were concerned about only having 2 bottles of water in our room per day, but we had about 5 bottles a day and it can be replenished at any time

There are lots of restos, but they book fast, so book them for the week when you arrive, or before and switch whilst you're there. we were a bit tardy and ended up having to eat at Rangali bar which was nice, but not so much 2 nights in a row.

We were in villa 420, there was great snorkeling off the steps, we even saw a massive sting ray - quite a treat!

It did rain pretty much each day, and 1 day solid. There are DVDs to borrow, but not much choice there's a tennis court and also an indoor badminton court to keep you busy.

Room Tip: 420 or 421!

OMG the most amazing place ever. Double beds in the bar to relax with your cocktails, stunning water villa with your own private pool. Had the most amazing facial in the spa. So much choice in the restaurants. Cannot wait to go back. Not one negative comment about this little piece of heaven. Expensive but worth every single penny.

Room Tip: Beach villa with pools are great and secluded. We had a villa on the east of the island. it was in p...
